Apart from the all-seater stadiums (which anyway is an important part of the death of real support in England) to me the situation is simple enough: the more a club gets trophies, pops up on the telly, papers and internet, the worse its support become.
I've spent 51 quid (+ 77 euros for the flight) for a ticket in the east stand upper (the only one I've found on the internet) two weeks ago for the B'Burn game. I've never been there before and I was quite shocked. All these japanese/chinese who doesn't even know what an off-side is taking pics every 1.3 seconds like they were in London Zoo.
I'll never go to another stand which isn't MHL.
Obviously ticket prices are mental, I visit my parents in London twice a year and I make sure it's in the weekend of a FA/League cup match, with its lower prices and better atmosphere.
