  1. Sacking Rafa now would possibly be the stupidest thing we could do right now. Roman was wrong to sack Robbie in the manner he did it, but to then remove Rafa within two weeks is just stupid. What other manager is there to take over? What else could another manager do right now to fix our squad? If we keep firing managers like this, all we're going to do is drive managers away. Why the hell would anyone in their right mind consider coming to the club if there's no job security to even get their ideas in motion. Roman made his bed by sacking Robbie, we're stuck with Rafa until the season is done. Sacking him just causes us more pain and suffering as right now there is no-one else we can turn to.

  3. Finally, someone posts some sense in this thread! In the past week we've played against two pretty defensively orientated teams (one is unbeaten in 44 games and another drew and almost beat the current EPL holders). Our attack was too narrow against such a big Stoke defensive team especially when we have three fairly small and nippy attacking weapons. Torres was cramped by Mata, Hazard, Oscar and Ramires. They all came into the middle and box and neither of them constantly drifted out wide to take any of the men marking them to create holes or opportunities. It wasn't until we had Moses come on did we actually have some width to our game and it bloody helped! If you have everyone crowding the box and middle the two CB's are just going to sit on Torres and completely shut him down. We really need Mata (or Hazard) and Moses to start on the wings and stay there. Either of those three should beat their man and then look for Torres. Granted he missed a perfect opportunity, but bloody hell, some of you need to look at what is actually going on rather than saying "Oh he hasn't scored or he's cost Roman too much money".

  5. We've given away a 3-0 lead only a couple weeks ago and you think the game was wrapped up at 2-0?
  6. Cech Luiz - Ivan - Cahill - Betrand Lampard - Essien Ramires - Torres - Mata Drogba We haven't had enough spark or creativity in our team all season with just Mata playing. While Torres hasn't be able to find the net, he's been able to execute and put people into a position where they can score. By having Torres, Mata in the team and Ramires we've got a good mixture of creativity and speed in the midfield, while having Lampard and Essien's experience at the back. I also feel, that having Torres who's playing an unselfishness style of Football will allow us to have both Drogba and him on at the same time. Additionally, it should also create havoc on their defence as you'll have two intimidating players which should help free up space for Drogba. I'd take Lampard off around the 50/55th minute and bring on Raul or Romeu depending on the score and I'd then replace Drogba around the 65th minute with Sturridge. The third sub will depend on the score line, if we're up, replace Mata or Torres with Piazon. I've given up caring how much Torres cost, I'm looking at what he's done and the benefit he can bring to a major area that we're lacking in.
