Posted January 7, 200916 yr Thought I'd put this in here rather than the Rumours section, and sorry if someone has posted this already. Rennes' General Manager Pierre Dreossi has stated that it is true that they are interested in taking our young Danish Striker Morten Neilsen on loan. He has stated that Neilsen is a player that interests them, one with great potential. He then admits that Rennes are the perfect club for developing a player like Nielsen to get them to the "next level." Source Scott
January 7, 200916 yr Could be a good move for both parties, by the way i reckon we owe Rennes for sending Petr Cech our way !
January 7, 200916 yr Author I was thinking that very same thing when I read the article. Would be nice if they rounded him off and sent him back to us as a potential striker!
January 8, 200916 yr ive watched him quite a few times and he will never play for chelsea`s first team in a million years. hes knowhere near the quality needed, and im sure he was brought in almost as a favour to one of arnessens buddies.
January 8, 200916 yr I'd agree with that. He doesn't even look much good at reserve level to be honest.
January 20, 200916 yr Nielsen keen on Celtic switchTue 20 Jan, 10:15 AM Danish youngster Morten Nielsen is ready to quit Chelsea and join SPL giants Celtic, according to his father and agent.Nielsen, 18, who visited the Hoops' Lennoxtown training complex last week, has six months of his Stamford Bridge contract remaining. Father Benny claims his son has been offered a three-year extension by the English club but is set to reject the new deal in order to join the SPL champions in the summer. He told the Scottish Sun: "Morten's first choice is Celtic. The people were nice to him and the stadium is beautiful. "I was with Morten last week at Celtic. We had talks and we hope to have more this week. "Other clubs are interested in Morten, but he has told me he wants to sign for Celtic. "Chelsea have offered a three-year contract, but he doesn't want to sign it. Young players never get into the first team there and he wants to take the next step and train and play with a first team. "His Chelsea contract is over on July 1 and, hopefully, we can speak more with Celtic." source
