Micah Richards/Danny Sturridge

With City pumping millions into the squad it looks like much of their young potential may be squeezed out. We badly need to add youth to the squad. Richards and Sturridge for Alex now or in the summer. This could be a genuine possibility as Richards has been struggling for form while Sturridges contract is due for renewal and with the possibility of having Bellamy Santa Cruz and Jo to contend with could force him elsewhere. A player should not have to be a portugese speaker to be considered. Young English talent is what's needed

I just posted this in the other thread but it fits better here.

Why do we need Richards?

Even if we let one of our centre halves go we still have four. Richards can also play right back but we have three of them as well.

If we were going to bring in a new defender then left back is the only position we should be considering. Richards would be a total waste of money.

I would be quite content to see Sturridge come here on the cheap. Richards not much so. Bottom line is though, there is more to be gained from Citeh going around playing Chelsea from the start of the Roman days.

Well, this is awkward!

The Shed End Forum relies on revenue to pay for hosting and upgrades. While we try to keep adverts as unobtrusive as possible without pop ups, we need to run ad's to make sure we can stay online and continue to keep the forum up, as over the years costs have become very high.

Could you please allow adverts on this domain by switching it off. Some of the advert banners can actually be closed to avoid interferance of your experience on The Shed End.

Cheers now!
