The agent of Michael Essien claims the Ghanaian may leave Stamford Bridge this summer, if the right offer comes his way. Fabien Piveteau says Essien is happy at Chelsea but a move to the continent may lure the midfielder away from the West London club. “Some clubs are interested in Michael,†Piveteau said. “He likes Chelsea very much, but football is football and if Real Madrid, Barcelona or some other club make an offer he needs to sit down and discuss what is best for him."

Anyway, there is a deep laying, horrible feeling inside my head that feels we might see Essien leave Chelsea this summer with a bog money move from someone like Real. June 21, 200916 yr I was suprised that real dint think about essien . When you talk about the best players in the world he is certainly the best at pocketing people and very versatile as well . I was just glad till now that Essien hasnt been linked to anyone , cant imagine him being sold for even a ronaldoisque price. He is too important .

June 24, 200916 yr Essien is a huge part of the future at Chelsea, not only is he one the worlds best players he is a huge star on the African continent. A marketing crow bar. If Essien was to leave within the next 3 seasons it would be a financial disaster, unless of course someone offers £80 million, then we would have to condider it. If we have learned anything in the last few years, its that these idiots act on their own and are totally out of control. Diego's agent and Ibrahimovic's agent are currently engaged in a war of words. Its pretty pathetic. When or if the modern game is cleaned up, agents should be the first ones up to the guillotine
