Posted July 29, 200915 yr According to Sky Sports.............. Werder Bremen have not given up hope of bringing Claudio Pizarro back to the club on a full-time basis. The Chelsea striker spent the 2008/09 campaign on loan in Germany, his second spell with the Bundesliga outfit. He bagged 28 goals during an impressive season, including four en route to helping Bremen to the Uefa Cup final. Unsurprisingly, the Peruvian is wanted back at Weserstadion, with the club keen to talk terms with Chelsea. Pizarro feels he has unfinished business in England, and would not be averse to trying to make an impact at Stamford Bridge, but Bremen are poised to make a move for his services. "We are going to open up talks once again in the next few days," Bremen boss Klaus Allofs told the club's official website
July 29, 200915 yr Wow, 28 goals! And he is probably 6th choice from our strikers..I'd rather we sell him to Bremen. He would be lot better this time around with us playing with two up front but I don't think it is enough..Good player but not Chelsea good.
July 29, 200915 yr Im surprised this is only making it to the press now. I was wondering how Werder could even think of letting Pizza go after the year he had. Hopefully its for a decent fee.
July 30, 200915 yr I think because he got 28 last season, we could get him for a good price. Maybe verging on £8million?
July 30, 200915 yr I think because he got 28 last season, we could get him for a good price. Maybe verging on £8million? That sounds reasonable to me. Wolfsburg just paid 9m pounds for Oba Martins as a potential replacement for Dzeko. Pizzarro was obviously way better last season I hope the Milan story is true though. For Mancienne's sake. Someone is lost :)
July 30, 200915 yr Pizarro could easily win the golden boot in Italy. The game is so much slower and he is very intelligent player inside the box.. Hope he does well anywhere he goes.

My thoughts exactly, it's not like we're asking for 20m for him. Maybe 8m for a proven Buendesliga striker? Good deal. Related question, did we get him on a free?
