Did any of the Irish folk on here catch the game?

Solid performance by Australia, one that I am very, very surprised by.

Australia played well, particularly in midfield where the movement was very fluid.

Ireland on the other hand has a coach whose final instruction to his central midfielders is

"When we have the ball your job is to hide"

Perhaps we are trying to lull the rest of the football world into a false sense of security.

Got up for it - Ireland somewhat anemic weren't they.

Cahill makes such a difference for us and the toffees.

Our FIFA rating of 16th is overly generous but hey, 2nd to qualify for South Africa ain't too bad.

All to do for Ireland now - hope thay get there though.

I'm a bit concerned about this team. Not much pace. Trappatoni doesn't seem like the right man for us.
