Was watching MotD last night, and the only 'highlight' they showed in the whole first half where the ball went into the Portsmouth half of the pitch was when Manure got a penalty. By all accounts they were lucky to not be 3 or 4 goals down by half time. Did anyone happen to catch the whole match? Was it really as one sided as it seemed in the first half? If so, they'll be lucky to get results against even the mid table teams in the form they're in...

I watched a stream of it and Pompey were certainly the better team in the first half however utd were much the better side in the second half. They certainly didn't deserve to win by the margin they did but I think they merited the three points.

I watched the first half and taped the second half to watch when I woke up.

Pompey were dominating, and in one 5 minute patch, could have easily scored 3 or 4 times. Dindane had a one on one with Kuszak, but was denied by a decent save. O'Hara had a shot that was destined for the top corner before once again Kuszak palmed away. Dindane also had a couple of good header chances he could have put away. They kept getting past Neville quite easily down their left. They should have had a couple before the half...they didn't capitalise and United went ahead against the run of play when Rooney got and then scored the penalty. Then Pompey got one soon after and equalised.

Then in the second half United just capitalised on the fact they were level still and went on to win comfortably.

Seriously though...if Dindane could capitalised 20% of the time he gets in a goal scoring position, he would be a very good striker...but as it is, he tends to fluff far too many chances.

From the highlights I saw on MOTD, had Pompey had an decent finisher, they would have been at least 3-0 up. The amount of chances they missed was incredible. Still, if you needed further proof United will drop more points than usual, stop looking.
