Tim W Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Ethical I take it you were the Ethicalstrategy mentioned on the Guardian podcast defending JT's topless interview
ethicalstrategy Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Ethical I take it you were the Ethicalstrategy mentioned on the Guardian podcast defending JT's topless interview Indeed I was. There couldn't be two! I was listening in the car on the way home last night and was surprised to hear my name mentioned! Didn't stop that d**khead, Rob Smyth, being snarky about it though. I do enjoy James Richardson though. Loved his intro the other day. What's the the difference between Bendtner v. Burnley and Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct? They were both shocking "nicolas" performances but in the Burnley game we got to see a full 73 minutes of the hairy twat! boom. boom.

JT would have to find a cure for cancer before he'd catch a break on that podcast, if it's not Rob Smyth putting the boot in, it's Barry Glendenning trotting out the some old nonsense that JT can't pass a ball or other such tripe. Other than that though I do enjoy the show and AC Jimbo is a class act.
sweet waffle Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 (edited) Is there a link to listen? Here you go matey: Guardian Football Weekly Extra Ethical gets mentioned at the around the 30 minute mark. Edited March 12, 2010 by sweet waffle
ethicalstrategy Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Football Weekly 30:14 in. Opps too slow. It was Glendenning who was originally having a go on Monday's podcast but it was Smyth who was being snarky after James read out my heartfelt defence of our noble skipper!
Tim W Posted March 12, 2010 Author Posted March 12, 2010 Actually Glendenning had a few good words for JT the other week after the England game and from the outset said he couldn't care who JT shagged as long as he didn't have to watch
ethicalstrategy Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Yeah, I don't mind him at all, but I just got wound up on monday when he was reading all these meanings in to JT celebrating after his goal and then being interviewed topless.
sweet waffle Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Actually Glendenning had a few good words for JT the other week after the England game and from the outset said he couldn't care who JT shagged as long as he didn't have to watch Yes I recall that, but that was an anomaly on Glendenning's part. I've listened to every Football Weekly podcast this season and the majority of the ones from last season and he hardly ever has a good word to say about JT, and when he does it seems to be a back handed comment said through gritted teeth. To be fair to him though, take away Glendenning's apparent contempt for JT and he's actually a sound journalist who does have a lot of good things to say.
Tim W Posted March 12, 2010 Author Posted March 12, 2010 I'm not defending him SW not at all I've had to stop myself from throwing my ipod against the wall on may occasions. At least Glendenning seems to be a genuine sort of guy, probably good to share a pint with. Plus I like the fact he believes, like a true fan, his team Sunderland will win every game.
