What are the chances for a double?

In your view what are our chances for а double ??

In my opinion :

1) Premier League - Match against Portsmouth is very important. If you get it, I am confident we will be back on a path to victory. Then comes the game against Manchester United, which emerged as a mandatory 3 points. Yes, our program is very difficult, but need a little spirit and everything will fall into place. Chances - 50%

2)FA Cup - At first glance, we are favorites. Aston Villa are not going well lately and this we can only be happy. I am confident that we will take the match and final ... This is our last game of the season, so there is plenty of time and then you never know. Chances - 80%

(50% + 80%):2=65% (is the chance for a double)

50% chance of winning the league...you're having a laugh.

We're not playing at all well enough. Unless the players pull their heads out of their asses, and find some form, we will finish 3rd. I hold onto hope they can do it...but after the insipid performance against Blackburn, it's not with much hope.

Тhis, that we played two matches poorly, doesn't mean that we will play so to the end of the season.

Premier League - Chances - 50%

FA Cup - Chances - 80%

(50% + 80%)/2=65% (is the chance for a double)

Using your figures, the chance of getting one but not the other is 65%.

The chance of getting both is 50% x 80% = 40%.

The chance of getting neither is 50% x 20% = 10%.

Oh my, the statistics.

The chance of getting 'Face' when you throw a coin = 50%

The chance of getting '1' when you throw a die = 16.67%

The chance of getting 'Face' AND '1' when you throw a coin and a die is

50% * 16.67% = 8.3%

With your numbers,

Premier League - Chances - 50%

FA Cup - Chances - 80%

The chance of getting both is 50% * 80% = 40%
