Legendary season

Featured Replies

We'll all be devastated if an average Manure team win the league almost by default, but let's celebrate a phenomenal goalscoring season - seven goals off being the first to 100 since 1961 (and in those days it was 42 matches, not 38) and the second team since 1945 to hit seven three times in a season. Plus there's the FA Cup to throw in as a bonus. So if we don't beat the Scousers and Bruce's mob roll over at the feet of Red Nose let's not write off the achievements of this season - we are now officially the great entertainers.

I think I've only used this once before ::clap2::

I understand what you say, but I would really be devastated if we don't win it this year, regardless of how many goals we score.

Thoughts from a 50-year old.

If when I was 10-20-30 years old and someone said to me that you'll be in the top three for five years in a row, I'd have said they were nuts, but wished it were true.

But today, I'll be down all through the summer if we don't finish this.

So I guess that's the good and the bad.

I love the fact we've started playing more entertaining football. I also love the fact that we're top of the league. I am eternally grateful that we are where we are.

But my gripe about this season is that man utd have been a shadow of what they were, overly reliant on one player.

We on the other hand have been mostly great, but with some key injuries. I just wish we could have completed this season at full strength, and tested ourselves against a stronger united, and gone further in the champs league, because I really feel our full strength team is a world beater.

But that really is a minor gripe... whinge over

I think we've done really well considering the injuries and bad press we have got.Plus its a new managers first season, If we get the double it will be a true testament to the strength of the teams character. Up the Chels.
