Ivanovic contract negotiations

Featured Replies

According to the Sun (ok I know) the club are holding talks with Ivan for a new long-term contract worth £60k per week. Apparently he is currently one of the lowest paid members of the squad, on £40k per week.

As I said, this is the Sun so how reliable those figures are is anybody's guess.but like most Chelsea fans, I'll be extremely glad to see Ivan sign a new contract.

I think his contract would be very low....he wasn't exactly a world class star when we first signed him, and it took a long time for him to get the chance to prove himself. I'd be surprised if he was on much more than 40,000...and I'd also be surprised if we got him on 60k...I would be thinking 70-80k...then again, I might be blinded by his brilliant last season.

If we can get him on a 4 year contract, 60,000, that's a pretty good deal in my eyes.

Edit: Oh, I should also add...if O'Shea is worth 80,000 a week, Brana should be worth over 100....let's hope it doesn't come to that lol

Bran comes across as a pretty modest guy so I wouldn't be surprised if he settles for a relatively(compared to his team mates) small salary. Hopefully he extends his contract.
