Lack of Cummunication .....

Featured Replies

"I've never met Steven Pienaar in my life," Ancelotti said. "I didn't search [for] Steven Pienaar to come here to play for Chelsea. We don't need a midfielder - we have fantastic midfielders here already."

Ancelotti did not deny his interest in the player, but would not speculate as to whether the Brazil international would become a member of his squad. "Until now, there's no news," he said. "David Luiz is not here and will not be available for the game. So it's not right to speak about this.

"I'm waiting until the end of the transfer window. If there are new players, it means we needed those new players. If there are not, we didn't need them."

It's becoming more and more like a circus every day at Chelsea.

Either their is a complete lack of communication throughout the club or Carlo is being under minded yet again.

It's 100% fact we agreed a fee with Everton for Pienaar and he spoke to someone at Chelsea.

It's 100% fact we have had at least two bids for Luiz turned down and we know the asking price to complete the deal.

Carlo, you are the man for the job whatever, but let's come clean here ...

If at the end of the transfer window there are no new players, it's down to inept management above your head and out of your control.

You could look at this another way.

Pienaar Ancelotti and the club didn't desperately want him but would have taken him as a stop-gap measure if the price and his wage demands had been right. However, as soon as it became apparent that he wanted far more than the club were prepared to pay, we lost interest.

Luiz Ancelotti said something to the effect that Luiz is not a Chelsea player yet, that he would talk about him when he was. Which was extremely reminiscent of what he said about Ramires before we signed him.

Sanchez Ancelotti said that no meeting had taken place, but hinted that there had been some kind of communication by stating that whatever had taken place was confidential.

So how do we know Carlo isnt happy with the situation though, its pretty much identical to how he was at Milan isnt it? I seem to remember when he came this kind of situation was mentioned and was partly the reason we were in for him, the club wanted a coach to fit into a contintental style of management.

Carlo never talks about transfers, that was always his style. I'm sure he knows far more than he shows but Ancelotti has been in football long enough to know that not saying enough is better than saying too much, especially in England where tabloids make things up even when you give them nothing and when you give them something they twist it and interpret it a dozen of different ways.

I've got to agree with you Hutch particularly on Luiz. He made the exact same comment before Ramires' signing, which leads me to think that a deal will be done on that front at some point.

I also agree on Pienaar, he certainly met someone here and perhaps that would have gone further if he his demand had been more in line with what his status would have been here, but they clearly weren't and therefore he didn't meet Carlo and he signed for Spurs.

As far as Sanchez goes it's perhaps more unclear, I'd be surprised, but delighted if anything happened on that front.

The Pienaar situation is very odd at first glance. But I don't see what Carlo has to gain from lying. I doubt he met Pienaar in person. Carlo has admitted that he is not in charge of signings so the offer to Everton could have been made without his knowledge. Then Pienaar met with Arneson or Gourlay and could not strike a deal he liked. He goes for the money at Spuds but tries to save face but making up the story about Carlo. It probably seemed perfect after 'Arry had injected his conspiracy theory the day before.

Unlike Star, I have never suffered from lack of cummunication!

On a serious note, Abramovich has summed it up perfectly. "Not saying enough is better than saying too much" - a lesson all mother-in-laws should be taught!
