If its scheduled for December it would be christmas come early and if the player turns out to be a numpty,chuck him back in January,a plan with no drawbacks if ever i saw one.

This is what Im used too, trading/drafting players instead of buying them.

I'd do an Alex for Hernandez (plus cash possibley) deal giving us both something we need and allowing us to clear out the forward department (say anelka plus kalou out) to get a little to splash cash on other areas.

Really rated Hernandez even before Man U bought him and I just knew he would be one of the best bargains this year.
