Posted May 1, 201113 yr Anyone have this game? I'm currently playing it, around halfway through I'm guessing, it's absolutely incredible. You can tell they've gone all out to make it a bigger game than the first one, I adore it. It's superbly scriped aswell, Stephen Merchant plays Wheatley, he's your guide through the first half of the game, and he's incredibly funny.
May 1, 201113 yr Yup, I have it. I've beat the single player version. It was great fun. Stephen Merchant did a very good job as Wheatley. Me and a mate are playing the co-op version now. We're almost through that also. Great game, absolutely brilliant and requires a good deal of thinking.
May 2, 201113 yr Got it on friday, though I would have half an hour on it on the night. Next thing I know its 2am and Ive been on it for 6 hours. Fantastic game and what I was hoping for as a progression from Portal 1. Hopefully there will be downloadable content too as I am fairly close to finishing it but dont want it to end.

The best way I can think of to get some extra enjoyment out of the game is to go for all of the achievements. It's not quite the same because you already know the story line, but it's another challenge.

It's not quite the same because you already know the story line, but it's another challenge. Yeah, that was my plan. Beat it once then play through again to get all achievements. Apparently some free DLC will be released in the summer with more chambers, mire challenges and some leaderboards. Lovely.
May 2, 201113 yr Will have to do the same with the co-op achievements. I'm sure I'll be missing some of those also. Usually I don't care about any of that stuff, but the game is so good that it's my way of getting more time playing it. I hope to see some DLC this summer, would love it.

May 3, 201113 yr As a matter of fact, I don't believe you can play the first one anywhere but on PC. Portal was originally released as an additional game with the Orange Box. It took off so much that Valve didn't have much of a choice but to continue the story, hence Portal 2.

So Ace, if you want Portal you'll need to get Orange Box for the PS3. You should be able to find it if you do a search for the Orange Box.

May 8, 201113 yr Dear god, that's an amazing deal. Read a lot about HL2 being a great game...definitely going to have to find this. Orange Box is absolutely brilliant. Half Life 2 is probably the best game I've ever played, Episode 1&2 excellent and TF2 is great fun as well. Haven't tried Portal though, but will give it a try in the coming week.
May 8, 201113 yr You have to give Portal a go, its a superb little game. Portal 2 expands on it and is one the best games I have ever played. I still get a lovely feeling of nostalgia when I load the game up as the Valve music comes on and the picture of the bloke with a valve in his head. Reminds me of how brilliant Half-Life 2 was and how much I looked forward to playing it at night.

May 8, 201113 yr Author Finished the Single player a few days ago, absolutely amazing game, loved every second. Got about halfway through the co-op last night too, it's not as challenging as the single player, but it's still incredibly fun.
