Posted June 23, 201113 yr Stuff in England (Daily Star) and on Twitter are saying we could sign Eto'o to start building a new forward line, which means we would ship off Drogba, Anelka and Kalou. Not a move that interests me.
June 23, 201113 yr We have no reason to sign more players (especially strikers) who are about 30. Villa, Eto'o both teriffic, but we don't need them. As it is, we need to be looking at moving on some of our older players without adding more. I assume these sorts of rumours are just media outlets taking information from previous years, and recycling it. I'm sure we were interested in these players in years gone by...well...I'm sure they told me that anyway.
June 23, 201113 yr Author Well, I assume Villas-Boas had some hand in Eto's tactical placement at Inter. It might not be true, but it makes sense.
June 23, 201113 yr Forgot that they worked together at Inter. Wonder if they patched up differences from the old Barca incident.
June 24, 201113 yr Great player back a few years ago, but not really the direction the club needs to go in and if the Falcao rumours are true then this makes even less sense
