Does anyone know how to get around blocked websites at work?

It depends on how much control you have. The ideal and most effective is a program called Tor. It creates an encrypted tunnel to a random location and basically no one can see what data is being sent and received... might be a little much for work, mind.

There are plenty of standard proxy sites out there, if you're just planning on coming on here or going on facebook.
