Influx of left footed talent

Featured Replies

Anyone else noticed how many good left footers we have now?

Mata

Cole

Lukaku (both footed but prefers left)

Sturridge

McEachran

Bertrand

Luiz (both footed)

Malouda

Not sure about Miereles, I've got a feeling he's good with both though

We must have the best collection of left footers in the world now, adds another dimension!

And me - why is it that we left footers (in footballing terms ) - are described as having an educated left foot ? or do they not use that expression anymore.

JT has a very good left foot too. Often sweeps those long passes of his with his left.

I was wondering something similar a while back, why left footed players seem to have a distinct style and are generally more creative, and I think its because the left foot is associated with the right side(creative side) of the brain.

Left footed/handed people's right brain is more active than left. There is some cross wiring thingy. Right brain is supposed to be the creative one. Obviously this is just a generalization and cant be taken as rule.
