As Andy so rightly says, the only thing to do is laugh. But if the MP's other ideas are as ridiculous as this, let's hope he never gets appointed to any post of responsibility!

He's right of course, but I think it's pretty clear from his words that he's not actually a football fan himself.

It'd be far easier (and far cheaper) for me to support my much smaller, local team, but it wouldn't be nearly as fun.

And hey - I like being able to see some of the best players in the world live, not just from Chelsea but the opposition too
