I guess this is for anybody in the states but has anybody noticed that the PL won't be on FSC much/if at all this year? I guess NBC paid a quarter billion to broadcast PL games. They will be on NBC Sports channel and national TV. Any ideas how that effects how many Chelsea games will be on TV?

I have no idea, wonder if they will have some more games available online?

Fox showed a few, and if you lived in the right area you could get soccer plus, but it will be interesting these how NBC handle it

It means more Chelsea games will be shown. Not only does NBC have more channels: NBC, NBC Sportsnetwork, CNBC, etc but they also have their online video platform that shows all the PL games for free as long as you're subscribed to a cable tier that has NBC Sports Network.

 

Or it might be just Comcast subscribers.

You are right. I checked out the NBC Express for my ipad. Looks like they will show every game on there. Very nice! Good work NBC

No one knows, but the Hull and Villa matches are both being shown. I would say with Jose coming back we'll be one of the top TV draws on NBC.

As part of its three-year contract, NBC Sports Group will broadcast all 380 games from the Premier League this season in some form - more than what's even available in the United Kingdom. The main U.S. outlet for the EPL will shift from Fox Soccer to NBC Sports Network, doubling the number of homes in which those games are available.

If everything game was on TV over here no one would bother going to see the game live anymore. So it makes sense you would get more then us.

I wonder what it means for Canadian Chelsea fans, generally cable packages here just carry the national NBC channel

 

I'm watching the United game on NBC, rather than Sportsnet - so that works.

 

It'll only be the one game a week or whatever - and will likely tie in with what is being shown for free on the regular Sportnet channels (I wish it would show some of the Sportnet World games!).
