Coppell to play reserves against Manure

I remember Coppell saying this before but you would have thought that this strategy may have changed now that they have secured a good position in the league.

Personally I am a big fan of the FA Cup and I hate to see any club belittling it by putting out weak sides.

Reading fans understand 100 per cent my thought processes.

I very much doubt that - if I was a Reading fan I would be thinking 'We are exceeeding expectations this season, you know what, on form we could sneak a good cup run here and maybe even get to the final'

In my opinion this is the first final at the new Wembley stadium therefore a place in the history books, i can't believe that reading who are safe would honestly field a weakened team just because they have a chance of getting into the UEFA cup.

The UEFA cup is the most overrated pointless cup in history. (maybe barring the full members cup) From a business point of view you only break even when you get to the quarters and what is the glory of winning a crap cup in Europe? and we're in it!

The FA cup is different, financially it's better than getting the UEFA cup, historically it's better and the fans want it. i reckon that this is either paper talk or Coppell trying to Ferguson out psych which won't work

You tell it as a english fan supporting Chelsea, which is playing CL playoffs always now. Of course, supporting Chelsea in games versus Barcelona, Bayern and others is very entertaining thing. But for the most european clubs (for me as a CSKA fan) CL play off is unavailible. So UEFA cup is the only opportunity to play internationals at official level. It`s easy to understand.

Well that's Manure through to the next round then.

What do people make of this, personally I find it disrespectful and highly irritating. I just hope one of the Reading reserves gets a bit over zealous and nobbles Rooney and/or Ronaldo.

Thats nice.

I hope a Norwich farmer sprays manure over your bunch of tosspots, it will insure your under Manure twice this season.

I can see that you are Russian, so i'll try to go easy. But I don't officially support Chelsea, whilst I am cheering for them at the moment doesn't mean that I actually support them. The reason that I want Chelsea to do well is because I hate manure, the scouse (all of them), le arse, spuds, and also burnley (but they don't count)

If you look at my avatar you will see that i support Blackburn and being that we are still in the UEFA cup (just) I feel that I have the right to slag the Mickey mouse cup of Europe off, it's a crap cup with nothing beneficial. it's Europe's equivalent of an international friendly. An utterly pointless waste of time with nothing to be gained.

I hadn`t pay attention to your avatar and now I can see it........ok. icon_lol.gif

But you see BB is playing UEFA Cup and trying to win there, so there are some reasons why they are doing it. I think you little underrate UEFA Cup, though I agree there`s no great benefits there, but anyway it grants some respect and honour for a team, for players and for the manager.

And another thing is EuroClubRating, which is not so important for you as English fan (England confidently steps for 1st place), but for me as a Russian fan.

Good luck for BB there!! (Hope we can play in quarters icon_lol.gif )
