The one and the same, he then tried to get out of it by saying that a supporter had spiked his drink! There was no proof when he got caught drink driving he was also doing 90 whilst on his mobile. He also came out with the quote earlier on in the season saying Dunn would have scored if there was more due on the grass! If you listen to his press conferences he isn't talking to the fans he's talking to the owners who know nothing about football. our club has gone from being well run to an utter embarrassment in 12 months- Blackburn v Chelsea (PL) 05/11/11 KO 15:00 GMT
The club have banned us from bringing banners into the ground so there has been a plane organised with a "Kean out" message instead should go over the ground at kick off and fly around for about 10 minutes. http://www.lancashir...est/?ref=twtrec- Blackburn v Chelsea (PL) 05/11/11 KO 15:00 GMT
Is anyone going to the game, if so I hope the aeroplane looks good.... should be there around kick off. :)- Blackburn v Chelsea (PL) 05/11/11 KO 15:00 GMT
you'll win, just a question of how many... Kean is a complete dick so even in the unlikely event you are 3-1 down with 10 minutes to go you shouldn't have a problem getting a draw. We're conceding goals seemingly for fun, he has no idea on how to set up a team and really f**ks it right up when he makes his subs. Spurs fans gave us sh*t for the protests to get rid of the clown, saying we shouldn't expect to beat them, That could bite the tossers on the arse in a few years time hopefully! I hope we win, but suspect with both our defending records of late it could be a silly score line.... i'm going 2-6 cheers, and hopefully we'll get rid of coco the clown asap Mike- Zola sacked
agreed but Hull were that much worse unfortunately.- PL, Blackburn Vs. Chelsea, 9/11/08, 13:30 GMT
The way you've been playing (apart from tonight) and the way we've been playing I expect us to lose this 0-6 at the very least. We are utterly awful at the moment, I fear we're going to get sucked into a huge relegation battle, what with Spuds and Newcastle appearing to be dragging themselves out of it, it's becoming a very real reality. At the start I was in the pro Ince camp, why not? we have f**k all money these days and why not take a gamble on a manager that has a good record in lower leagues (despite him slagging us off in 95) and have a go, however increasingly i'm starting to dislike him more and more, his substitutions are bizarre at best, he tinkers with the team as much as Benitez, and he's got f**king awful media skills (not to metion his lack of UEFA badges) The football that Ince has got us playing at the moment is almost entertaining, certainly better than what we showed under Hughes but for all the wrong reasons... it entertains the opposition, with the Scum, notloB, Villa, Middlesbrough & West brom results going tits up I can only see one outcome... :( we're going to be in the sh*t come Sunday now I love my club, the board we're good but dark days I feel are going to descend on Ewood unfortunately... God I hope i'm wrong!- West Ham Under Zola - Want Them To Do Well Or Not?
From a none Chelsea point of view I want them to go down... Upton Park is somewhere that I hate us going! They might have done us a HUGE favour in the past but... We always lose there!- Firefox users ?
I've been using firefox for years now and whilst I feel it's the best option for me at the moment, hate IE and can't get on with either Safari or Opera i'm waiting for google chrome to work properly with facebook then i'll be switching to that, page rendering seems so much quicker with chrome!- Not Relevant To Us (hopefully), But..
Ex notloB though isn't he :( to be honest I don't think either are good enough for you... And i doubt we'd be able to afford Anelka's wages! Santa Cruz will be off to City in January :( however he signed a new contract in the summer so we should be able sting em' for some serious money :)- Not Relevant To Us (hopefully), But..
Yeah, it's been a while since I was last on here, Uni, house moves, football, gigs etc.... But it's nice to be able to come back here. I was welcomed last time, though my hatred of United, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal might have helped I think. The general consensus over the appointment of Ince is completely split. Most people seemed very underwhelmed when he was appointed, but no one wanted Fat Sam who for a while was the bookies favourite or even worse would have been McLaren (who's bizarre new Dutch accent still makes me laugh). Most people back him as he is the manager and until he proves otherwise he will get out support. There still however a large number of people who no matter what he does it is wrong, i'm sure you know the sort. Saying that some of his signings could be seen as suspect Keith Andrews for one, but there are a large amounts of twats that boo him whenever he comes on the pitch, I wish they would just give him a chance, after Mark Atkins was hardly a failure... back in the good old days, i know that things change, but cut him some slack! I personally think it will take at least year for him to settle in as it's an enormous jump he's made from league 2 to premiership. That said Hughes went from Wales to us without any club experience and kept us up, but as he was a former player people didn't seem to mind as much. Ince does have the advantage that the team is in a much better position now, both squad wise and financially. The main criticism's I have of him are comments made about us as a club after we won the premier league something along the lines of describing us as a "two bob tin pot team" maybe i'm overreacting but us football fans have long memories. ;) The other issue I have is the lack of a replacement for Bentley. What has impressed me with Ince is unlike Hughes he's prepared to give some of the younger players a run. Hughes was quite a conservative manager when it came to this, and whilst he was probably naive initially we were playing some attractive football which possibly bodes well for the future, but I don't think would work with the majority of our players! He's also got the defence a bit tighter and the last few games we haven't conceded as many.... Losing Bentley has been a massive blow for us, one reason I feel he isn't performing well at spurs (other than him being an arse) is at Rovers we are a small team, we lack quality in a lot of area's and when we played we utilised Bentley far more than he'll get utilised at a bigger club. most moves on the pitch involved Bentley at some point, the whole style of play was to fit around Bentley. He won't get that luxury at spurs therefore he won't look as good a player. The real loser in this is Santa Cruz, he had a phenomenal season last year, but a lot of his goals came from Bentley crosses, without a half decent right midfielder he won't get the service or the goals. Pedersen is sh*t and has been for the past 2 seasons now. Sorry for rambling on so much, feel quite guilty about talking about my club on your forum, especially in so much detail... hope it makes some sense if anyone reads it all that is... :) I'd take a comfortable 10th at the minute with no relegation drama's Mike- Not Relevant To Us (hopefully), But..
I agree with everything in this post, the UEFA cup is nothing short of a joke, i'd be very unpopular with a lot of other Rovers fans saying this, but i really don't see the point in the competition at all. I read somewhere that clubs don't even break even, until they reach they quarter finals, and the money made relatively speaking is a pittance even if you do win the bloody thing. And what do you gain by winning it a crappy piece of silverware. For me it is about as important as the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. I'd rate the League cup much higher. If there was a champions league spot for the winner of it then perhaps yes, however as unlikely as it would be, if in the future we were to win it their is very little chance we would get past the qualifying rounds of the champions league anyway. When we have been involved (and yes we've been sh*t) I personally have wanted us to get knocked out ASAP, I would rather us concentrate on the league, FA cup and the League cup rather than pissing about with meaningless fixtures, playing (and losing to) sh*t clubs from in the arse end of nowhere that no one has heard of. For a small club like ours with limited resources it's pointless, and to hear players & managers constantly banging on about getting into Europe winds me right up. Because in our case it's always affected the league performance... Saying that though our participation in the Intertoto last season I thought helped our start to the season. And with the matches being (in general) played on a Thursday it means so many teams now have their games on a Sunday and it makes a mockery of the league, for instance Pompey's game kicking off at 5pm yesterday... what the f**k was that about? Anyway rant over, hopefully my sleeping pill will kick in soon (i need to go to bed!)- thanks jose
I personally am a bit gutted about it, he brought something else to the premier league, a true character. I would also imagine that other genuine football fans will be gutted also. I was chatting to my mate in town earlier who supports the scummers and whilst he was happy from about it from a football point of view even he said he would miss him. The premiership as a whole has lost out with this. That said.... Jose for England!- Chelsea vs Blackburn Game Build Up
I would say as well though I was disapointed with the booing of Bentley, it seems the media frenzy to make him public enemy number one for not wanting to play in a pointless tournament appears to have worked. I wonder if the people booing followed the U21 team or whether they went on there summer holidays? Despite Gabriel Agbonlahor simply not turning up to the training camp and turning off his phone will he recieve the same treatment? Nope because he plays for villa therefore the press have hardly mentioned it.- Chelsea vs Blackburn Game Build Up
I have to say that I thought we were awful yesterday, Pedersen, McCarthy and Santa Cruz were shocking, after the first 20 minutes Pedersen wasn't only sh*t going forward but also defending, whilst McCarthy and Santa Cruz seemed happy to fail repeatedly trying little flicks which went straight to your players rather than holding the ball up. Dunn and Bentley were pretty invisible for the majority of the match. I didn't think Savage was too bad and the back 4 looked good, it was unfortunate what happened to Samba, but I think for him to put his head down there to stop a definite goal scoring opportunity shows why he's fast becoming a Blackburn legend along side the mighty Colin Hendry. For me Friedel was man of the match which says it all really. Surprisingly we more than a little fortunate with some of the decisions from Howard Webb, who almost seemed to be making up for the shocker of a match that he refereed between us and West Ham last season. I also think the linesman that ruled the goal offside must have had a grudge against you, though I wasn't complaining at the time! On the whole i'm a bit disappointed really as we didn't play well at all, we were fortunate in the extreme that your goal was disallowed, but more than that if you had Lampard, Drogba, etc... you would have battered us. no question.- Chelsea vs Blackburn Game Build Up
Samba is 6' 4" Yeah....well I wish he was 4ft 6" the way our defence is on set pieces and protecting against corner kicks at the moment. with the corner kick taking ability we have from Bentley and Pedersen that is the least of your worries, our corners are at best sh*t! I reckon we haven't scored from more than 3 in about 4 seasons! edit.... Sorry i lied (accidently) in my last post, but had to reply to this, this will be my last post until sunday though (promise)- Chelsea vs Blackburn Game Build Up
The more I think about this match the more I think you're probably going to turn us over big time, earlier on this week (page 2 in this thread) I thought we might keep the score line respectable, but now i'm not so sure, we appear to be going in with far too much confidence. I know you are going to be missing some big name players but you are at the bridge and the squad you have has some serious depth.... I'm starting to feel worried now, not as worried as when we went into extra time in the semi finals but not far from it! To be honest I don't know why i'm getting myself so worked up about this game, though visiting this site reasonably frequently probably doesn't help! Anyway this will be the last post that i'll make until Sunday at the earliest when the outcome will obviously be known. Hopefully we'll get to see a great game of football, 22 men on the pitch when the final whistle goes, and for us to at the very least give a good account of ourselves. All the best, and if by some ridiculous twist of fate we manage to break your amazing undefeated home record I won't be coming back here gloating or being a twat as I know how that could be the difference between yourselves or United, Arse or Liverpool winning the league. If that were to be the case then I would have nothing to celebrate in anycase. Good luck tomorrow, lets hope its a blinder of a match!- Chelsea vs Blackburn Game Build Up
Samba is 6' 4"- Chelsea vs Blackburn Game Build Up
Whilst it would be nice (for me) if that were to happen I can't see it happening. What I would say is that I personally don't think there will be a repeat of the 4-0 thrashing you gave us 3 seasons ago although that is contrary to what is being said on the rovers forums (more on this later). In central defence Nelsen and Samba seem to be forming a good partnership and Warnock is looking good on the left linking well with Pedersen. I'm still unconvinced about Emerton at right back. We will probably have Ooijer and Khizanishvili on the bench. Our biggest problem is midfield, If we are going out to win the game I would think that we'll start with Pedersen left and Bentley right. However centre midfield is where the problem lies, i would imagine that we'll start with fatboy Dunn and Savage but due to injuries they really haven't played together that often and with Tugay out due to a suspension it leaves us with few options. The option that I'm praying he doesn't go with is to drop fatboy Dunn in favour of Mokoena (the axe) which will result in the most boring game of football anyone will ever witness with the likely outcome being 0-0 And us not being picked for a TV match again for about 2 years! Up front we have no such problems with McCarthy and Santa Cruz being the ones most likely to start with Derbyshire and Roberts on the bench. This season the press seem to keep talking as though we're going to finish in the top 6 however (which in itself is unusual as we barely get noticed and if we do it's never praise) I feel that this is probably overly optimistic as our central midfield just isn't good enough Tugay is too old, Reid seems permanently injured leaving just Dunn, Savage and Mokoena, hardly top 6 material really? Saying all this we have had a good start to the season, and we should really be looking for a top half finish. Though I'm still going to predict 2 - 1 to you. this is a quote from a rovers forum which shows the general feeling in our camp...- BOULDERBOLLOCKS (RIP) Please read
