The Loan System

See Martin Samuel having a pop at us for having Lukaku on loan and doing well.

Bit ridiculous, players go on loan to other clubs all the time in the same league. Just because one is performing exceptionally well all of a sudden its not fair?

I often agree with Samuel's articles but this time he is wide of the mark.

I understand the argument he is trying to make but the loan system as it stands right now is as fair as it is going to get.

The conflict of interest is too great when a player comes up against their parent club whilst on loan, by removing the option for them to play you avoid all controversy.

I don't really understand what it is exactly that Samuel has such an issue with, he says the loan players are like "agents" for their parent clubs but let's be honest, how often is a player of high quality sent on loan to another Premier League side that has a huge influence on the league standings?

Lukaku is at the moment obviously but I honestly can not think of any player other than him, it's finding fault where there is none.
