Under 21's

Featured Replies

Good win and a very decent performance from the U '21's last night as we beat West Ham in the Cup.

Strong side, including Loftus-Cheek, Boga, Swift, Brown, Baker and Ake and although it was only 2-1, it really should have been 4 or 5 but for the Spammers keeper.

They must fancy their chances of going all the way - we're through to the Quarter Finals.

Interesting game at Telford this week. Pitch was awful and wolves played much longer game with into the cow pats in the corners

We carried on playing thru the quagmire and our usual passing game and it eventually paid off

Baker and swift both very good all, round games, loftus cheek decent when he came on too

BUT Ake struggled at left back against quick winger, izzi brown not interested although was marked by 2 very experienced players in Doherty and foley so let him off

Feruz always made the runs off the shoulder and got a decent couple goals

One whine from me, loads times back 4 had the ball, not much on and rather than recycle it until some movement allowed to go forward, beeney shouts for it, gets it and then hoofs up field for their heading proactive - Feruz v eolokobi, come on - did that at least 10 times in the game. Come on coaches sort it

But average age our team was 18 and quite a few younger whereas 5 wolves were 1st team squad players, and rest were genuine u21s so in that context a good win

Pies and clips were good too

We lost 1-0 to Arsenal last night so went out of the cup in the quarter finals.

Very disappointing. Strangely enough, we played very Arsenal like. Good approach work right up to the edge of their box then too many passes meant the move broke down time and again when it really needed someone to put their foot through the ball and have a f**king shot!!

We looked good at times and should have won but none of our youngsters really stood out and we lost to a goal in extra time.

I thought we actually did quite well last night against a much more experienced Arsenal side, though as you say we did piss about far too much with the ball.

I agree with Nibbs. We dominated the game though had nothing up front. Thinking the little fella was quick (maybe it was the pitch) he was not, also not strong enough against Big Defenders. (has the special one told them to play like this ?)

Arsenal No 2 in the first minute laid out Lewis (8) (Good player skill and heart, what the others lacked)

Someone please tell me why did the manager not change it and put two up front the little fella was totally on his own. Goalkeeper to blame for the goal not No 3 who had a good game, Keeper was so slow off his line,2nd game I have seen him cost goals for this reason. Also after watching the Under 18's were was Charley Mousonda (Forgive the spelling) absolute quality winger Valderamer (11) was more worried about his hair. For a Chelsea Regular from 77-96 this Chelsea side played great football, poor and weak up front, other than 3 and 8 lacked any heart what so ever, They tired dramatically (as the under 18' did) after 70 minutes, please get them fit and most importantly Teach em they are CHELSEA, they are special.

Was a game we should have won by at least 3.

Still great value for money and better than watching any conference or League 1 or 2 football. Also I could watch my beloved Chelsea. ...Blue is the colour.
