Should he be given time? no if there is a genuine risk of the club missing out top 4.. ya lot all underestimate the after effect of losing the top 4 or simply don't care..

Sorry mate, not disagreeing with u or picking a fighting but don't come at people with your first line of words. People have different opinions, some wrong some right. If he's wrong you let him know, if he's man enough, he will admit his mistake. Let's not judge anyone because we object to their opinion.

Im glad you brought this up for 2 reasons.

 

1)  That list, infact, is a testament to how badly that squad under performed under almost every manager aside from Mourinho and Carlo, because they should have won so much more.

 

2)  That was won with a great squad despite the managerial instability, this current squad is no where near as good or mentally as strong.

 

The context being addressed here is the effect of changing manager midway through the season.. Only avram grant that finished trophyless but we're just 1 spot kick away from lifting the holy grail under him..

 

We didn't change manager during carlo reign when there was problem in his 2nd season and as a result we finished tropyless..

 

Your point no 1 & 2 are examples of unfairness and jose tinted glass on 24/7, only half of those managers that I would count as proven and they came midway through the season which mean they didn't have pre-season nor they had the luxury in transfer window and despite all that, they still won trophy..

 

For the trophy they won, it's because of the players but the failure, it's all because of themselves.. see the pattern there? really man, that's just ..*sigh..

 

It's also well noted that the fact jose won more titles because he had the luxury that those didn't.. he had massive amount of money to play for in his 1st stint but in his 2nd stint when he didn't have that, what happens? going back to the mundane norm..

 

It's also well noted that this season start is the worst for as long as I can remember, none of those managers listed above had worse start than this.. His 1st stint was maybe special but 2nd stint? nope, I think he knew when he relinguished the special one tag off.. the special one no longer special but still being big headed as always or maybe even worse..

I'd be a liar if I said I wasn't worried but you need to have faith in Jose and the players to turn it around. As well as playing badly this season we haven't had any luck, sooner or later that will change.

 oh I do have faith in our players hence I'm confident with a change of mood in the dressing room, we'll raise again..  a change of manager will unite the dressing room and that should fix it in my humble opinion... 

 

As for that luck we haven't had, sorry but I have to disagree wholeheartedly, if anything we we got a fair amount of luck with the goals we scored and some of the ref decisions namely in the southampton game...  

I'm confident Roman has given Jose the new contract and means to let him see it through this time, before the last few sackings every time the camera got a look at Roman he looked like he was about to pull the trigger, I've not seen any change in his usual body language or mood in the glimpses I've had this time.

 

It will go a long way to giving me a renewed respect in our owner if he sticks by Jose, I feel almost ungrateful when I look at what we've achieved since he's been here but I've admittedly always been annoyed at his impulsive trigger finger but when he brought Jose back it really made me think he did have the future of the club at heart and had learned that the chopping and changing would not lead to long time success at the level he really wants it.

 

To be honest I think he has and if he does ride this one out it will give me a renewed interest as I have to admit the hiring of Benitez was almost a last straw for me, Jose returning really did turn out to be the only antidote to the FSW syndrome I was suffering from.

 

Can you imagine what a Brenda rogers syndrome would do to us? as every season or two when there are people crying out for a managerial change
