July 20, 20169 yr When we were kids playing on the green my mate was Bonetti and i was Osgood. Two Peters and two great players.Sadly one has passed and now the other is unwell, such a shame.I hope you get all the right care mate ,you deserve too.Long live The Cat.
July 22, 20169 yr Remember as a kid buying a pair of his cotton green gloves.....they were sh*te really but hey the 'Cat' wore them. Shame he got lambasted during the 1970 WC he could have kept his England place. My thoughts are with him having just lost both an aunt and uncle to dementia within months of each other. I hope he gets all the support he needs.
November 16, 20169 yr Evening all I come in peace, I recently found out that the Cat is in the same nursing home as my Nan, according to the nurses there he still lives to watch football and although has dementia he can still remember little about his career. He's in a really good home in Staffordshire - so rest assured he's in safe hands.
November 17, 20169 yr Good evening 'friendly villa', Are you able to post the nursing home address and I can send him some photos of himself playing for Chelsea which may cheer him up a little at this time. I first met him in 1970 before his testimonial. As you can see from the photo we were a little younger looking in those days nearly 45 years ago.
