What the oldest age someone who played for us, was still playing at the top level ?

Or even, still playing professionally ?

Drogba came back for a couple of matches and think someone the other day said Zola was playing for us at 33.

Peter Bonetti was 37 when he stopped playing for us at the end of 1978/79.

'The Cat' had reached his 38th birthday, when he played a few games for Dundee Utd in 1979/80.

Pat Nevin was 37, when he stopped playing when at Motherwell in 2000.

Still a few years short of Claudio Plzarro though.

Joe McLaughlin was 39 years old, when he ended his career with St Mirren in 2000.

I'm surprised myself that Pizarro is still playing. Thought he was long retired.

• Glenn Hoddle (37) = 1994/1995
• Graham Rix (37) = 1994/1995 (played one game for the club)
• Didier Drogba (37) = 2014/2015
• Mal Donaghy (36) = 1993/1994
• Gianfranco Zola (36) = 2002/2003
• John Terry (36) = 2016/2017
• Nigel Spackman (35) = 1995/1996
• Marcel Desailly (35) = 2003/2004
• Claude Makelele (35) = 2007/2008
• Frank Lampard (35) = 2013/2014
