The Mail on Steve Clarke today

This quote is a disgrace:

Mourinho, who was finally told at a board meeting last week that he would not be sacked as manager, previously threatened to quit if Clarke was axed.

Although Clarke is little more than a nodding dog to Mourinho, he has been part of the furniture at Stamford Bridge and has become one of the manager?s trusted aides.

Clarke, who earns ?300,000 a year, is expected to agree to the terms of a slightly improved deal in the summer, and Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon will also trigger clauses in the contracts of the rest of Mourinho?s coaching staff.

This is not in an opinion piece. This is part of a report on new contracts for JM's coaching staff. But they still see fit to slag off a coach of whom both JM and Bobby Robson have a very high opinion.

Absolutely appalling.

Typical Daily Mail drivel, but nastier than usual. Nodding dog, my arse. Is Steve Curry (a.k.a. the Mancs most obese fan) still the Mail's cheif sports reporter? Horrible git. Noticed this comment at the bottom of the article though:

Carvalho is class. Most under-rated player ever, and this comes from a United fan.

From a Manc? A Geordie Manc admittedly, but yet again I have to admit, I never cease to be amazed.

They haven't published my comment yet.

They haven't published my comment yet.

They've yet to publish a single comment of mine - all to Patrick Collins.

Nope. Still just the one comment. And all I did was called the bloke (Neil Ashton) a pillock; told him he was bang out of order, and that he should be sued for libel. I thought I was quite subdued under the circumstances.

If I was on ?300,000 a year you could call me any number of names, and I would smile politely - imagine you at your sad ?30,000 a year dead end job - and climb into this:

Sub-text: I don't think Steve Clarke gives a rats a*se what the press write about him!!!
