January 20, 20224 yr Apparently the Premier League is considering changing the rules to postpone matches on the 8th of February. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/60030994 Only after most teams have enjoyed a fair bit of rest during the Christmas period while we've been denied any with a heavily affected team, they propose to change the rules. I think that this heavily scheduled period has affected our performance and we've been losing points to more rested teams. Apparently, some 'poor' teams like Leicester will have to play thrice in a week! after they have to postpone their match at the Bridge due to us reaching the Carabao Cup final. Not a single mention of our ratio of a game every 3 days from Boxing Day. Not a single mention either of their decisions not to postpone our games despite having 7-8 players not available while Arsenal were allowed because of one. Nor to mention the false positive cases of Liverpool. It's all a farce. The PL has rules and these should have been applied to each and everyone of the teams. The UEFA had no issues to eliminate Spurs from the Conference League after Spurs called off their game against Rennes because it did not suit them to play when scheduled. Equally the PL should drop points from Liverpool for faking positive Covid cases and penalise Arsenal for not playing against spurs with just one case. I think it is a farce, they have the rules they just don't use them against certain teams and chose to use them with us. I feel that this season has been tampered with. On another note, this reminds me of the continuous change of handball rules and VAR rules after one of their darling teams get hit by it. A farce.
