Tickets for Chelsea/Arsenal

Featured Replies

Hey all - I was hoping to come to London to visit a friend and see Chelsea/Arsenal play in March, but I now hear individual tickets will go on sale about 4 weeks before if any are left. I can't plan a trans-atlantic trip in less than 4 weeks! Does anyone know how/where I might be able to get tickets earlier than that? I'm in Canada so I'm not sure how tickets work in the UK. Thanks!

That is a possibility. Do you think I'd have any hope of reselling the unused ones? Can you also tell me which sections would be seated/not supporters? I'm not really into the party vibe.

I doubt it as will probably be a one-for-all.

@Boyne @Munkworth Can you confirm?

@dappersteph Can't say for certain but it maybe the same as ST for the men's team and seats for games for the women's games at the Bridge maybe sold on the ticket exchange if people can't attend. The Arsenal game is due to be played on 17 March but could be moved if televised. At the Bridge the West Lower, East Lower and Matthew Harding Lower have been earmarked for ST for the Women's games. Not sure if other parts of the ground will be used. Guess that depends on demand. As you've probably seen tickets range from £85 to £170. If you sell through the ticket exchange there may be a commission charged by the club.

Highly unlikely that tickets will be on sale more than four weeks before the game.

Hope this helps.

Ah ok. Can you tell me which sections are seated/quieter? I understand Matthew Harding Lower Stands is the supporters section. I only see a few sections on sale right now - do you know if they'll be releasing more? I don't mind sitting in upper stands if it saves me some $ I just don't want the supporters section.

All stands at Stamford Bridge are seated. The only one that will be particularly loud will be which ever stand the legendary Basil is in.

Going by last season I believe you’d have a good chance at getting general sale tickets a game at Stamford Bridge, it’s Kingsmeadow where the big games sell out quickly.

I have no idea who Basil is. I'm from Canada and trying to make sense of the sale process over the pond which is very different from here. Just nervous about booking a transatlantic trip without tickets and haven't been able to get a sense of where I might be able to buy them resale for the Arsenal match.

So @dappersteph as Munkworth said, tickets nearer the time should be easier to source as it isn’t as popular as the men’s team tickets, that sell out before you can even breath near the site. Then as Boyne pointed out, fixture dates may change this early in the season if it’s moved to be televised. My guess is, that it’ll be televised anyway but it could still be changed being quite a few months away.

So you can gamble, wait until general sale then grab as many as you need as quickly as you can. Last season, the Stamford Bridge games didn’t sell out quick so on that, you should be okay.

Or, buy the 4 match option so you know (albeit fixture changes) that you are safe without having to go in nearer the time to buy single tickets.

I think the best place to watch this team, is close to the front of the east stand or the same on the other side in the west. It won’t be rowdy like the men’s team, so generally anywhere is fine.

Thank you @Mod I appreciate that! It would be super sh*tty if the game got moved buying plane tickets so that's good to know. Argh! I really wanna make this happen but there seems to be a lot up in the air! I'll have to sit on this for a few months which I'm sure is fine as my days are flexible.

Even if it’s moved it will almost certainly be the same weekend. There aren’t any cup rounds scheduled for that weekend which would be the only reason for it to be moved completely.

It’s whether or not you’re willing to risk booking early to save money or not really. I’m pretty sure you won’t have any issues getting a ticket if you keep an eye out for when they go on sale.
