Apparently. It's also possible that Jewell's successor will also be announced at the press conference. Phil Thompson has been suggested as a possible successor. Which would certainly explain why the big nosed Scouse git got so excited on Sky Sports News yesterday. And even why he was doing the Wigan game for them, rather than his usual LFC.

Dave Whelan - another soundbite chairman who now has free publicity for his chav sportswear company by his rent-a-quote nonsense about everything in football. No wonder Jewell walked - his chairman has been an embarrasment this season.
