Elliott
...the team is much more powerful, much more dominant when Michael is playing." As i've said before, i cant wait to see Mike in action. Last season, he proved himself to be one of the most talented and powerful midfielders around, and he's only going to get better. It's not often that i feel comfortable using this turn of phrase, and it gets banded around too easily for my liking, but given a couple of years, i think he really will be World Class. What a player.
callista
Why feel uncomfortable saying something that is blatantly obvious for any one to see be it the media, Chelsea fans, Jose or opposition fans who all rave about him, especially MU ones who who swap him for most of their midfield including Hargreaves in a heartbeat. I'd say not a few years but literally by next season he will be named in various lists as one of the world's greatest players. I heard Drogba once called a "one man wrecking ball" in a press article once. Hell that applies to this guy, he is so dynamic, clever in his passing, powerful, never stops running, can play in about three different positions, perfect temperament. The list goes on... A snip at the price we paid and worth his weight in gold to us. If Chelsea ever decide to sell him for some huge fee in a few years then the board deserve to be committed for craven stupidity. BackInBlue
An overpriced thug who almost ruined the great Didier Hamann's career, he is not worth the pres s's time or praise.
callista
Overpriced thug due to one bad tackle? And I also believe he was punished for that but obviously not enough in your mind, punishment should be ongoing I presume? There's quite a few teams that would have no problem parting with some considerable amount of cash for our one. You want an overpriced thug in reality? I give you Joey Barton or Craig Bellamy. clubhappy
I cant remember a player as good as Essien in the premiership, certainly not in that position . Along with J.T . he can become the heartbeat of the team , inspire players around him and continue to amaze us . QUALITY
