If Torres can't get his scoring touch back with the likes of Mata, Hazard and posaibly Oscar supplying him with the chances, we might have seen the last of him at the Bridge. I feel all our transfer moves are geared towards a faster passing game which suits Torres' game perfectly. This season should also see if Lukaku is the player he was hyped upto to be.

Best half od football we have played since the first game against Portsmouth. We just need to keep this up. Its been simple silky passing all over the park today.

I only got to watch the second half of the game and I have to say Alex was immense. He took a rocket in the midriff, got up and 45 seconds later headed clear a ball with ease.

And oh, we should definitely keep an eye out for that lil' French guy playing in the midfield for Pompey. Looks a good prospect.

I was really excited about us getting Robinho when we were linked with him while he was still at Santos but Madrid came and swooped him while we ended up with the likes of SWP and Malouda. Robinho has shown enough at Real to prove that he is a legitimate talent and all this talk about him not being able to adapt to English football is bullcrap. Would we say no to Messi thinking he might not be "tough enough" for the Preimiership? In Robinho, we are getting a player with all the talent in the world with something still to prove. Welcome to The Shed, Louison. I don't watch much French football but I have been hearing glowing reviews of Laurent Blanc as a manager at Bordeaux. What has done at Bordeaux to get such praise and do you think he is good enough to hadle a big club?

I would love for Carlo to stay but for the life of me, I don't understand how AC haven't made a bid for him. They have two inept keepers in Kalac and Dida while a top notch Italian keeper is playing second fiddle. And if, Carlo ever hopes of getting an Italian cap then he should jump on that opportunity.

Cech 8 - Dealt with everything that was thrown at him. Was nice to see him back to his best after some shaky performances last season and the Euros. Bosingwa 6.5 - Got skinned by Palacio at the start but was solid after that and he definitely gives us more attacking edge on the wings. A Cole 7 - Was solid throughout the game until his injury. Hopefully, will be back soon. Carvalho 7 - Did everything we have come to expect from him. Terry 6.5 - Made a couple of uncharacteristic mistakes but recovered pretty well. Essien 7 - For a guy who was fit enough to play only 45 mins, he did a good job. However, Mikel does seem to play this position better. Scolari needs to decide this. Ballack 6 - Nothing spectacular. Was tidy with his passing but didn't influence the game. Lampard 6 - ditto Deco 7 - Cracker of a freekick but disappeared for large chunks of the game i felt. J. Cole 5 - His first touch was atrocious today. Did absolutely NOTHING. Not the best way to solidify his place on the team with Robinho's arrival imminent. Anelka 4 - Embarrasing dive in the first half and did nothing of note other than that. Subs: Kalou 6 - Gave a freekick in a dangerous position near the end. Malouda n/a

Does anyone know when Ashley's back? He looks to be in really good form in the few games we have played.

Its was a weird first half for us. Deco scored early but after that we have failed to create any chances and Wigan have looked really good when have had the ball.

Nicely said, goose. Even after 3 trophy-less seasons, Arsenal don't seem to be even thinking about a change which is plain stupid. They have become a selling club who don't win anything.

This guy was rated higher than C. Ronaldo by some people in Portugal but his career seems to have stagnated at Sporting. This really is a win-win situation for us.

That looks pretty legit to me. That would leave us with Drogba, Anelka, Robinho and Di Santo up front which looks like a pretty solid quartet of forwards. However, we are once again being held hostage by Milan but I think its in the best interest of everyone involved that he goes back to Milan.

In all honesty, Frank was pretty mediocre the whole game. Yes Rooney and Gerrard were as bad, if not worse but Frank didn't really shine either. However, his performance did not justify the fans booing at him.

I read somewhere that we have bid 8 mill for Daniel Sturridge. I don't know if this is true or not but that guy has looked pretty good everytime I have seen him play.

What a performance by everyone on the team. However, the debut boy Deco showed why Mourinho wanted him to be his first signing and Phil made him his first signing.

I am glad that lamps signed a new deal but seriously the club raised our expectations and were bigging this up as if we were about to sign Kaka, Robinho at the same time and keep Lamps. I dont think Lamps signing a new deal required all this hoopla. Poor decision by the club IMO.
