I'm amazed the figures for Sheff Wed, Wolves and Portsmouth are that low, as you get the impression from the media that these clubs were giants in the days of black and white TV, rattles and flat caps i.e. before I was born.

Someone should bring these stats to the attention of Mike Parry of TalkSh!te, who's always going on about how Chelsea's supposed lack of history makes them an inferior club to the likes of Everton.

Some people forget the fantastic Toon army were only less than 10k strong for several games when relegated many years ago, although the social economics for the area were pretty dire at the time.

I think these stats should be made aware to everyone in the game, where were we when we were sh*t, considering our supposed lack of history and success i think people will be surprised.
