This club is going straight to hell because only a few seem to be doing anything about this guy called Roman and his toy boy Avram. The sooner we get these people out of our club the better, remember this is our club ! owners and managers come and go but it is our children and our children?s children who will always be here.

Ok maybe Roman will get another coach in and we will win a few things but do you really want this kind of guy running our club ? Look at this guy, He acts as though he was the one who should have been praised with all the glory and quite frankly probably got rid of Jose because everyone liked Jose more. To me that just shows what a childish idiot this man really is and I for one do not want this man in charge of my beloved Chels. Yes he has brought us success and glory and all that goes with that but he only signed the cheques and nothing more and we should never forget that.

If Roman had not bought us I guarantee another billionaire would have and he might have been British with a British feeling for football and the football fans. I do not think this has much to do with kenyon or Buck because at the end of the day they are looking out for themselves and are not exactly going to follow Jose out the door but rather will agree with Roman on whatever he says. I imagine they are on a big pay packages and have many expensive things that have to be paid for so why rock the boat and disagree with the hand that feeds you. This is the same with the players and it is not their job to rock the boat either but rather to get on with the job and perform to the standard that is expected.

Many of you are probably thinking I am out of my mind but I do not think this guy is good for our club, not in the winning sense but in the moral one. He over stepped the mark in signing sheva and who knows if he will do it again or not with the next big manager who comes to Chelsea but mark my words if he does it will not be so pleasant and swept under the carpet and we will become the most hated team on the planet and subsequently Roman will dump us and run. Roman is Russians and Russians have this funny trait of not being able to understand the world no ! to them no is not an option and anyway who is anyone to tell Roman no after how much money he has made. Even though Roman came from a humble background I do not think he has respect for anyone which is very very strange. If it were not for Kenyon and Buck Jose would have been gone last January I can assure you. This guy is cold and calculated and he will use our club how he wants to without giving a dam about he supporters. Have you seen his latest quote that Avram is here to stay and we will just have to put up with it ! ummmm excuse me but are we not the ones who pay the players wages ???? are we not the ones who buy the merchandise ????

It is all rather simple really this guy does not know how to be a football club owner so why should he be ? because he is rich ? lol lol lol answer me this just because someone is rich it does not mean they should be allowed to fly a commerical plane without a pilots license does it now ? I do not think it is easy to run a football club and I think you have to have a certain personality and Roman does not have that.

We should start to spin a story to the media that we want a new owner and I know within 24hrs there will be a buyer waiting in the wings, Roman will fell embarrassed and not wanted and bugger off with his tale in-between his legs and Avram carrying his suitcase. We are not exactly a billion doller company and there are a lot of people or corporations that would dream of snapping us up and getting Jose back and winning lots lots more. It may take a year without winning anything but we will be back stronger than ever the next year. I am telling you from the bottom of my heart we DO NOT WANT THIS MAN AS THE OWNER OF CHELSEA FC !

Do not think we have only two options, Roman staying or first division football because that is bullsh*t. It will not be hard ot kick this prick out and get a new and better owner.

im sorry, but this is ridiculous. without roman we woulda been vying with leeds for the 1st division title. how long have you felt like this? since last week maybe. reel yourself in pal. at the start of last season, any manager hows chariman went to them and said "ive bought you shevchenko and ballack" would have been over the moon. its not worked out, but i think jose has to shoulder some of the blame for not using them correctly. instead he stubbornly expected them to fit in with his system of play. if he had tried to integrate them better, who knows how well it could have went.

IF Roman managed to find a buyer who was not only prepared to buy the club but fork up the 100 odd + million pounds a year out of his own pocket to keep the club competitive and financially viable, then sure............

Do you know someone with 100 million pounds spare to throw around Bridgeboy?............

I fail to see where you are getting that from. Since Roman took over Chelsea he has hardly been putting himself in the limelight and playing the 'look at me, praise me, thank me, worship me' card - given the phenominal amount of media interest in him and how desperate the media has been to get an interview/statement/pictures I would say he has kept an extremely low profile.

You may or may not be right about why he got rid of Jose (personally I think you are wrong) however I would be interested to hear your reasons for this probably being the reason.

You 'guarantee' another billionaire would have bought us! On what grounds do you guarantee this? Might have been British - no chance, you point me towards the British billionaires invesitng in football.

Have you seen his latest quote that Avram is here to stay and we will just have to put up with it ! ummmm excuse me but are we not the ones who pay the players wages ???? are we not the ones who buy the merchandise ????

As much as I always support the argument that the fans should always be a key consideration when it comes to decisions about the club I'm afraid the idea that what we pay over the turnstiles and on merchandise is the kind of money needed to pay the players wages and fork out for transfer fees over the past few years is sadly incorrect. I have no idea what the exact percentages are however I don't imagine the club's income is predominantly from our pockets. I woulkd imagine the majority of our income comes from TV, advertising and Roman's pocket. Maybe with the big Kenyon push to brand us in Asia and America we will see merchandising contribute a larger share but it certainly won't ever be the case that the grass roots Chelsea fans are major players in the income stream.

You don't need any kind of personality to runa football club, in fact a lot of football club owners seem to have a distinct lack of a personality! Sadly in this day and age to run a SUCCESSFUL football club (i.e. one that will be challenging for major honours) what you do need is money, and a fair stack of it! Everything else is a bonus but money is the key ingredient just as Man utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona, Real madrid, AC Milan, Inter Milan etc etc etc and Chelsea know. What ytou don't want (and this is where we do agree) is an owner who thknks his money gives him grounds to interfere with the manager's job. Having said that this 'interference' is commonplace in many big successful clubs outside of Britain.

We should start to spin a story to the media that we want a new owner and I know within 24hrs there will be a buyer waiting in the wings, Roman will fell embarrassed and not wanted and bugger off with his tale in-between his legs and Avram carrying his suitcase. I think this idea that we would be snapped up is wishful thinking. I am not saying that there is no chance we would be snapped up but the idea that people would be queuing up is, for me, very wide of the mark. Football clubs are not good investments, never have been and therefore people who are willing to own one are doing so knowing they are going to lose money (although it may help raise their profile however do you want an owner who is simply owing Chelsea to raise their profile?)

I voted no because the title of the thread is 'Do you really want Roman'

All I want is an owner/chairman who will run things from the boardroom and a manager who is left to manage his players, and buy the players he wants.

This hasn't happened under Roman so far!!

Surely if we got Roman out and replaced him with nothing changing then we would be in exactly the same boat and probably with less cash!

I am guessing what you mean is if we can get Roman out and get a replacement without the parts of Roman that you don't like.

however to this I would counter that just about any owner who could invest the sums of money ROman has (you did say nothing changing) is going to have elements to them that people don't like.

We could have an owner like Liverpool who compares them to weetabix, an owner like Utd who uses them to secure massive debt and never shows up at any games, or an owner like West Ham who in no time at all has stepped down from his role and stepped into another - hardly security there.

I don't like the way the JOse situation has been handled however until I jump on any Roman out bandwagon I would like to see what his mmedium to long term plan is. If that medium to long term plan is to keep Grant in charge and start to try and run the first team himself (with an inevitable demise) then I will be very supportive of an attempt to oust him. However if his medium to long term plan is to bring in a manager of credibility and that is what we see happening then I am more than happy to support him.

Well then maybe I am jumping the gun a little but I still feel that if things do not improve and a decent manger is not brought in then things will go from bad to worse. I am very peeved off about this Jose thing so maybe it is my emotions talking but we shall see in a few months time and as you said Loz if things get worse I hope to see you joining the oust Roman brigade lol. I just do not think Roman will ever make a lasting owner of any football club because he is just not that type of person.

I may be prepared to give him more than a few months however trust me I will be joining you if the club does descend into farce for an extended period. The long term integrity of the club means a hell of a lot more to me than a fat bank balance and silverware in the trophy room.

I was really hoping you knew the answer to this question Bridgeboy since you seem to be so confident that there are other potential new owners out there prepared to throw 100+ million pounds a year at Chelsea for no financial return.

Find me someone and i'll officially join the "Roman out" club, pay my membership and receive the commemerative "Roman out" club badge. No really, i'm serious.............

Tell me who youve got in mind.

I love this - the world's (almost) most successful manager is getting bollocked for not changing his system to incorporate other people's players.

Frankly, I'm bored of the whole debate. Sadly guys, it's not 'our football club' any more and hasn't been for a long time - not since Bates started axing managers because they were too popular. With Roman, we finally sold our soul and some of us have only just realised it. Tough.

It will be 'my football club' again when all the glory hunters piss off, when it's viable to bring kids again and when Sparky becomes our manager. Ain't going to happen though.
