This club is going straight to hell because only a few seem to be doing anything about this guy called Roman and his toy boy Avram. The sooner we get these people out of our club the better, remember this is our club ! owners and managers come and go but it is our children and our children?s children who will always be here.

Ok maybe Roman will get another coach in and we will win a few things but do you really want this kind of guy running our club ? Look at this guy, He acts as though he was the one who should have been praised with all the glory and quite frankly probably got rid of Jose because everyone liked Jose more. We should start to spin a story to the media that we want a new owner and I know within 24hrs there will be a buyer waiting in the wings, Roman will fell embarrassed and not wanted and bugger off with his tale in-between his legs and Avram carrying his suitcase. We are not exactly a billion doller company and there are a lot of people or corporations that would dream of snapping us up and getting Jose back and winning lots lots more. IF Roman managed to find a buyer who was not only prepared to buy the club but fork up the 100 odd + million pounds a year out of his own pocket to keep the club competitive and financially viable, then sure............

I fail to see where you are getting that from. Since Roman took over Chelsea he has hardly been putting himself in the limelight and playing the 'look at me, praise me, thank me, worship me' card - given the phenominal amount of media interest in him and how desperate the media has been to get an interview/statement/pictures I would say he has kept an extremely low profile.

You may or may not be right about why he got rid of Jose (personally I think you are wrong) however I would be interested to hear your reasons for this probably being the reason.

As much as I always support the argument that the fans should always be a key consideration when it comes to decisions about the club I'm afraid the idea that what we pay over the turnstiles and on merchandise is the kind of money needed to pay the players wages and fork out for transfer fees over the past few years is sadly incorrect. I have no idea what the exact percentages are however I don't imagine the club's income is predominantly from our pockets. I woulkd imagine the majority of our income comes from TV, advertising and Roman's pocket. Maybe with the big Kenyon push to brand us in Asia and America we will see merchandising contribute a larger share but it certainly won't ever be the case that the grass roots Chelsea fans are major players in the income stream.

You don't need any kind of personality to runa football club, in fact a lot of football club owners seem to have a distinct lack of a personality! Sadly in this day and age to run a SUCCESSFUL football club (i.e. one that will be challenging for major honours) what you do need is money, and a fair stack of it! Everything else is a bonus but money is the key ingredient just as Man utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona, Real madrid, AC Milan, Inter Milan etc etc etc and Chelsea know. What ytou don't want (and this is where we do agree) is an owner who thknks his money gives him grounds to interfere with the manager's job. Having said that this 'interference' is commonplace in many big successful clubs outside of Britain.

I think this idea that we would be snapped up is wishful thinking. I am not saying that there is no chance we would be snapped up but the idea that people would be queuing up is, for me, very wide of the mark. Football clubs are not good investments, never have been and therefore people who are willing to own one are doing so knowing they are going to lose money (although it may help raise their profile however do you want an owner who is simply owing Chelsea to raise their profile?)

All I want is an owner/chairman who will run things from the boardroom and a manager who is left to manage his players, and buy the players he wants.

however to this I would counter that just about any owner who could invest the sums of money ROman has (you did say nothing changing) is going to have elements to them that people don't like.

We could have an owner like Liverpool who compares them to weetabix, an owner like Utd who uses them to secure massive debt and never shows up at any games, or an owner like West Ham who in no time at all has stepped down from his role and stepped into another - hardly security there.

I don't like the way the JOse situation has been handled however until I jump on any Roman out bandwagon I would like to see what his mmedium to long term plan is. If that medium to long term plan is to keep Grant in charge and start to try and run the first team himself (with an inevitable demise) then I will be very supportive of an attempt to oust him. However if his medium to long term plan is to bring in a manager of credibility and that is what we see happening then I am more than happy to support him.

Well then maybe I am jumping the gun a little but I still feel that if things do not improve and a decent manger is not brought in then things will go from bad to worse. I may be prepared to give him more than a few months however trust me I will be joining you if the club does descend into farce for an extended period. The long term integrity of the club means a hell of a lot more to me than a fat bank balance and silverware in the trophy room.

I love this - the world's (almost) most successful manager is getting bollocked for not changing his system to incorporate other people's players.

Frankly, I'm bored of the whole debate. Sadly guys, it's not 'our football club' any more and hasn't been for a long time - not since Bates started axing managers because they were too popular. With Roman, we finally sold our soul and some of us have only just realised it. Tough.

It will be 'my football club' again when all the glory hunters piss off, when it's viable to bring kids again and when Sparky becomes our manager. Ain't going to happen though.
