Liverpool not helping out Luton

Featured Replies

Don't know if there is already a thread on this. But Lutons 5pm deadline for investment passed today, so tomorrow they could fold, and liverpool will qualify for the 4th round. If Liverpool donated there half of the ticket receipts a much followed and loved football club will no longer exist. Chelsea donated money to Sc**thorpe, should Liverpool have done the same token gesture to there FA cup rivals? I think so, after all what is £140,000 to a club like Liverpool. A weeks wages for two players?

There is another thread on it however may as well respond here.

This isn't supposed to be a defence of Liverpool (heaven forbid) however it is worth pointing out that any one of the top flight teamd could just say 'hell we didn't get drawn against you in the cup however here is £140k to get you out of a hole'

There is also the argument that a lot of smaller clubs who have maybe managed their finances slightly better (we know all about our fiannces being managed badly) who would love a free £140k hand out.

Maybe Chelsea should donate the 140,000 pounds if it becomes clear Luton will go into administration without it just so they can go on and knock Liverpool out of the FA Cup icon_razz.gif

Or even better, give them just enough money that they will survive if they win the game but bankrupt if they don't
