Foxes sign Chelsea teenager

What is Chelsea playing at.

We have talented players in the youth/reserves, who are the future of the club and we should be investing in them.

But no we will spend huge amounts of money bringing in players instead.

If we want to build for the future, we have to bring our younger players through, not sell them on to other clubs.

Totally understandable decision. He has to play more first team football to develop, and he's not very high in the pecking order at Chelsea. JT, Riccy and Alex are all better than him(not sure about Gentle Ben) and I think if some young central defender is going to be promoted to the first team at Chelsea, it's gonna be Mancienne. So, you can't blame the lad for looking elsewhere for first team duties.

What I don't understand is why Chelsea are to blame for his departure. They offered the lad a new contract, but understandably they can't promise him much first team action.

"6ft 3 and quick as hell"

Sounds promising, and will be interesting to see him develop. Totally understandable option for the kid. 19 yrs old, and the chance to play first team football for a Championship side as opposed to playing in the Chelsea ressies...can't blame him!
