UEFA Match Fixing?

Featured Replies

Well, well, well, whats all this then?:

That's unbelievable, not sure how to take it. It would confirm the general consensus of fixing draws to suit UEFA. Be very interesting to keep a close eye on this one, could have major implications and could really throw the tournament as a whole into complete chaos.

I have previously thought the amount of de ja vu style ties to come out of these draws as more than coincidence on occasion and also that some clubs seem to permanently get favourable ties as very odd but this throws a whole new complexion onto it....

Rumour going around draw has been leaked..... this is no doubt rubbish but if Rumour is true it's LFC - arsenal and Chelsea - fenerbache and manure v roma

No bookies will take bets on the draw either.......

Then at 12:17pm, after the draw!

Thankyou..... my friend got a phone call from Goa on tuesday night with the draw. no-one would take the bet!!!! so my info was cr*p hey?

I mean how else could Liverpool win it? icon_lol.gif

icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif very very good point....

By being given a gratis goal as default for all chumpion league games at anfield???? or by playing ten men virtually every round? Or maybe just maybe UEFA love to give the trophy to those scallie rogues with all their illustrious European "istry" and fantastically behaved fans who are a credit to the English game on foreign soil., 317.gif317.gif ....

Wow cheers mate, biggerthen the Juve corruption ?

Exactly AJ, I think more of these shady deals are being worked out.

How I'd love a full investigation and see what they find!

Yeah not arf! Unfortunately if UEFA get wind of this it will be swept away with any evidence firmly under the carpet (although they may need a patio!).... Doubt that link will be available in a few hours once the powers that be get to work on a cover up story!!!

This is completely mental - was the draw a tape? Is the timing etc on this websites utterly reliable? Or was it literally a fix?

Weird.

I'm glad it's all coming out now, maybe some other footballing authorities will be looked into aswell.

Thinking about it, it would be right for a bookie to 'out' the news. Bookies must have to get inside info on all these shady deals to save their cash. Remember 'Bounce' that gave us the Jose story first before any TV, official Chelsea site, etc, he got that news off a bookie connection.

To state that you have inside info and then come trumps at 191/1 would be a pretty big fluke I would have thought. Do you know, Mod, if there would be anyway of tampering with the timing info on the website? Surely if the bookies around the country actually stopped taking bets the story will come out here. EDIT: whoops! I see what you are saying Mod - that the actual distribution of the balls was dodgy. Now THAT would be a story!!

http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liv ... -20624765/

claimed that timing could not be manipulated here.

UEFA spokesman William Gallard said: "He must have supernatural powers. I know the people who did the draw and I am 150% certain it is completely honest.

"You might be able to fool a computer but everyone can see the teams are picked out fairly this way."

Yea, there would be no easy way of tampering the website time of posts really, and even then reading the following posts, it's quite clear it was posted at that time, as he was originally ridiculed for claiming it (well done that guy for having the guts to do it)

Even then, he claimed he had a call from Goa on Tuesday night, so the reports are saying it was claimed 2 or so hours before draw, but in fact, he knew way earlier than that.

I saw that - the thread certainly looks authentic. And the Goa thing is pretty strange, though humorously random. Also funny that the poster 'confused' bailed just as the story started to spread. The other posters are right, he's probably on his way to the bahamas at this point/

He was a prolific poster (3000 or so), and sounds like he was known by the others.

Another funny UEFA response, now reported on the mirror article

A UEFA spokesman said: "There is no way the draw was rigged. This was a draw made in front of millions of television viewers and in front of the officials and management of all the club. I just don't see how that can be possible. The balls were not marked at all, they were put in the bowls and shuffled around before they were drawn. I was at the draw this morning and it was all done properly. I cannot understand how this happened."

Did he predict the semis as well ? I dont think he did, neither did he predict home/away info.

191/1 sounds like a miscalcualtion.

I make the odds 50/1 ? 50 different possibilities out of the 8 teams.

Anyone else ?
