Innuendo Posted May 19, 2008 Share Posted May 19, 2008 Hello, Chelsea fans :) My name is Piotr and I'm from Lublin in Poland, although I'm currently doing my studies in Warsaw School of Economics. I have been a supporter of CFC since the times of Gianfranco Zola :) Since around 2004 one of my greatest hobbies has been collecting football ticket stubs from various matches, ranging from domestic competitions throughout NT games up to European Cup matches, concentrating on the latter ones though. In my collection there are currently ~2500 tickets. That's why I'm writing here. I know lots of you will go to the Chelsea final that shall be played in Moscow. I'd like to have a huge request to you - could you please save your tickets for me if you're not collectors yourselves, and if you are - pick up the ones you see left on the ground/on the seats if you do see them? I'd be extremely grateful, and willing to either exchange them for my tickets (I have quite a lot from CFC games from various competition, too) or send you the money needed for the postage to Poland if you have a PayPal account. I'd also be interested in used ticket stubs from the Chelsea games in Premiership, FA Cup and Champions League Cup in the recent years. Hope someone will be able to help me. superdan Posted May 19, 2008 Share Posted May 19, 2008 The only consolation of my trip to see Chelsea in Monaco in the Champions League semi a few years back was selling the two stubs of the tickets purchased from touts for £6 each on e-bay - was very therapeutic too. Since then I've kept all my ticket stubs just in case! (season tickets don't get you many though!) Actually the other good thing about Monaco was bargaining down the touts from 120 euros to 60 euros for a 30 euro value ticket. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Most collectors from England I know either collect programmes or badges or, if it is tickets, concentrate on the ones from the team they support - Brighton, Southampton, Liverpool, MU, Chelsea etc. There are some (rare, but still...) guys though who collect all the stubs just like me. If I could exchange it for example for last year's Milan-L'pool it would be just perfect. I have contact with a collector from Italy who has an Inter-Legia Warsaw stub from 1985 (UEFA Cup 3rd Round). It's one of the rarest tickets from Polish teams' games in Europe during the late phase of communism. Having extra final tickets would enable me to get hold of those ones. Hence all the "mystery" with searching for 3-4 ones and not just one for the collection. I'm not any kind of deceiver; I neither want to sell those stubs nor cheat anyone willing to swap them - I have made lots of swaps with various fans from abroad (actually most of them were from England and Scotland, and France too) and my letter didn't reach them only once. It was stolen by postmen. Not everyone is like you, you know P.S. Superdan, I have a great friend who has supported Chelsea for years and helps me a lot with my collection with CFC home and away tickets from domestic competitions. Unfortunately, he keeps his away stubs (he goes to most Chelsea away games in Europe). The man was in Monaco, too, as well as in Stockholm (CWC won in 1998) and other venues were they played their most memorable games. He seems though to be a bit more down-to-earth than you guys, and doesn't see an enemy or crook even in his... own shadow, as a Polish saying goes I hope someone will be able to help me nonetheless. In Poland the Chelsea games are shown on Canal+, which is the channel I don't have at home (C+ solely costs as much as 60 other programmes I have on TV in Lublin). Thus, getting to watch, either live or in retransmission, any CFC game is more of a problem (and of interest) to me than spending time on internet messageboards. I haven't ever felt the need to write on an English-language Chelsea forum, because everything I need to know about the team is on the general websites like or , and if I need to find something specific I can go to When it comes to Moscow tickets, no one from those sites will be able to help me -> hence my registration here. I don't think anyone is a muppet, but if what I have written above isn't logical to you, then you obviously aren't too bright a person... That's much more sensible in my opinion than to be a "fan" that spends half of his life before a computer screen. If you're measuring one's devotion to Chelsea by the time/number of posts he has here, then I wish you good luck, you must a great person £££ It's nonsense, there are virtually no ticket stubs that have a value of XXX (3 figures) pounds or even dollars, except for the ones that come from the beginning of the 20th century.
