This is tough, it sorts out the JCL's (Surely you all read Rick Glanvill's book?)

This came from the threads of posters disgruntled about Roman's methods or approach.

Very easy to vote for the founders.. and I understand it is very diffilcult to compare era's in football but I think it should be thought of as the methods and approach to running the club.

Could be interesting icon_wink.gif

Mears family, Scottish and started the club. Love that!

however, it was WAY before my time, so to be honest, I've only ever watched Chelsea since 94, so for me it has to be ken bates

Tough one! As a pre-Batesean I'd have to go for the founding Mears, because the later Mears got us into bother (East Stand anyone?), which old Ken eventually had to sort out. So, although I'm not Ken's biggest fan, he does deserve some thanks, but can I actually put a tick in the box......? Nope.

However, it seems like everyone has pros and cons - but I've gone for nostalgia - easy cop-out icon_wink.gif

The Shed End Forum relies on revenue to pay for hosting and upgrades. While we try to keep adverts as unobtrusive as possible, we need to show these to make sure we can stay online and continue to keep the forum running. Over the years costs have become very high.

Could you please allow adverts on this domain by switching it off and whitelisting the website? Some of the advert banners can actually be closed to avoid interference with your experience on The Shed End.

If you don't want to view any adverts while logged in and using your account, consider using the Ad-Free Subscription which is renewable every year. To buy a subscription, log in to your account and click the link under the Newbies forum on the home page.

Cheers now!
