After watching most of France's games at this summer's Euro's am I the only one who thought that Benzema was a bit disappointing? He showed flashes (at best) of quality but other than that he just seemed to lose the ball and a lot and run with the ball into a lot of dark alleys. Considering the hype about him before the tournament I was expecting a bit more of him. Then again, the French as a team never really got going.

I was also keeping an eye on Benzema too. I mirror your views also. There is potential however if he really needs to show true class he needs to test himself in another league. The French League isn't exactly great, any one could look good there, just ask Chris Waddle :lol:

They still both managed to look 100% better than Malouda though. (And Anelka come to that).

If we want to compete next season, we won't want to be relying on either of those two. Shocking.

In fairness to Benzema, judging him on his form for the French national team is like judging Lampard on his form for England and Domenech makes Steve McClaren look like a top class manager.
