geezer
According to Setanta it has been reported by Eto's agent that he has failed a medical at the Emirates. Hope this is true 'cos I'd hate the thought of Eto'o playing for the Arse.
geezer
Well in answer to my own post it now appears the agent is saying there hasn't been a medical yet.
jack h
Though i hope he doesn't go to L'arse i don't think he would improve them that much if he did. From the little i have seen of him recently it appears the injury he got against Bremen a couple of years ago has really affected him. Also can you imagine the way he would react to their inexperience, he'd be worse than Gallas.
WV2 Blue
Oh well, if he's going to L'Arse he obviously does'nt want to win anything...just top up the pension. Let them have him....
dkw
Oh well, if he's going to L'Arse he obviously does'nt want to win anything...just top up the pension. come on, they did win the "play best football" trophy for the last couple of years. what do you mean theres no such thing, try telling that to a goonie.... WV2 Blue
You mean like telling one of us..its ok if: 1:you lose to the spuds in a cup final at wembley... 2:you get knocked out of the fa cup (as holders!!!) by a championship team, who's winning goal was scored by a bloke who had'nt scored for 6 months...and subsequently went on to miss an open goal in the semi final!!! 3:(and this hurts the most!!!)losing to Man Ure in Rome...on penalties, and then having JT, our main man, lambasted here, there and everywhere in the media...(and then come back to captain England). what would L'Arse have given for that over the last 4 (potless) years???? hhmmmm, makes me wonder too. TheWestwayWonder
I recall reading something by an Arse fan (they seem to be less than smitten with this rumor) along the lines of: "Maybe he and Gallas can start up a personal rivalry to who can be the most disruptive prat" Apparently the honeymoon is over and even they realize talent means nothing without chemistry. I almost want to see Eto'o go there to see how much he can rock the boat, nay capsize the f**king thing, in the coming season. No middle ground with him. This has "sparkling success" or "unmitigated disaster" written all over it
TheWestwayWonder
So four days later, what is the deal? Has this story been scuttled? It seemed to come out of left field in the first place. I didnt recall seeing much smoke linking the little punk with the Arse until, suddenly, he has failed his medical. Anyone with any updates on this? geezer
The only other story that may be linked to this is that the Arse seem really intent for Adebayor to join Barca rather than AC Milan. Could it be a swap deal of some kind?
TheWestwayWonder
Could be, Geezer. That would certainly make sense from the Arse perspective, especially if theyre going to lose Adebayor's goals up front. It seems like Milan are really pressing for him. 28 million was it? Good lord. I know he scored some great goals and is still young, but to me, Adebayor will be a major disappointment if he moves leagues. I just dont think he is going to equal this kind of production again. Im sure Wenger is rubbing his hands fiendishly remembering when he made 4000% profit over Anelka in 2 seasons
