Maradona v Butcher

Featured Replies

Oh, who cares

Teary Bitcher is a knob of the highest order.

Such a knob that the last time I met him I asked him what he thought of Maradona's second goal. He walked away. LOL.

Still one of, if not the best player ever!

I've never seen one single player drive a team forward like Maradona did both for club(Napoli) and country and I've yet to see anyone tame the ball in real game situations quite like him. I'm too young to have seen Pele play, so I won't comment who was the better player. Maradona wasn't a very good role model, but on the pitch he was one of the most talented(if not the most talented) player ever to have played the game. I don't approve Hand of God or his drug habits, but I can admit when I see a tremendous talent even if I don't like the off the pitch person...or rather how he comes across through the bits in the media.

Nice post!

He was a superstar on the field.. maybe nobody was better..

He's a cheating scumbag in my eyes and always will be. why do something so stupid when you have all the skill in the world??

No matter how amazing he was, he will always be thought of as a cheater. like he is.

What a great role model... Fat, drug taking, cheating vile scum... Go Diego!!!!

Bucther shoulda smacked him right in the chops!

Maradonna's as much a cheat as a lot of current footballers, but at least Maradonna had the balls to admit he cheated. Peter Shilton should take a lot of blame too, how did he let Maradonna, 5ft 5'' outjump him ? Butchers problem is Maradonna humilitated him and England with the second goal. I think Butcher has issues , not only with Maradonna but with other sections of the footballing community , he's a bitter man and needs to grow up.

What a great role model Butcher would've been then... :P

Oh wait, he's never been one, so scratch that. :happy0034:
