OK. So with everyone here in the depths of doom and gloom after the Feeling Dutchman desecrated our pitch with his restraining orders, I thought it might be time to have a laugh at someone else's expense for a while.

Lord, there are plenty of candidates whose nightmares make ours look like a week in Bermuda, but I have settled on one for now. Follow my lead

In the depths of a crisis where they are losing to league minnows, scraped by against BATE Borisov during the week to qualify, and have an injury crisis themselves. Now in fourth place, six adrift of Barca, have lost their best goal scorer for the season in Van Nistelrooy, and worse yet have the notorious Marca dictating policy/airing dirty laundry out for the club.

Their loss against Getafe, many think, is the final straw for Schuster. Havent they learned anything from the Camacho/Quieroz/Luxembergo disaster they JUST got over. Idiotic club guided by a spineless vindictive piece of scum who is subject to the whims of a frivolous base of support. Thats madrid, im talking about now :D :D

How long will they keep Schuster? As I know from Real Madrid it seems like a miracle to me that they haven't sacked him yet

imo they should stick with him. He is a guy who knows his stuff, clearly good enough to win a domestic league, and on their day Real beat anyone with searing football. But they are misfiring now, no question. Not unlike us, except their league position looks worse,especially after Barca's bad start.

If the results dont improve dramatically, I expect to see Schuster out by Dec. 25th. They would be fools to do so, but we are talking about the good ship Franco piloted by possibly the most arrogant man in football (yes, more than Platini, Ferguson, Aulas and Kenyon). The only thing that was missing from the drama was a penaltykick. Sometimes it's great to watch when the quality of defensive play is poor. By the way...what did Robben get that second yellow card for? For having a go at the ref?

And Robben was sent off in what I believe was his first game back following yet another injury lay off.

Also, who are they going to look for in a replacement? Another series of yes men? The Benitez contract talks make people put and two together about fatso, but would he really leave halfway though a season, even for Madrid?

I watched most of the match(missed parts here and there) and didn't see any case for a penalty, but I think the commentator mentioned something about a penalty that wasn't given(?)

I saw the Robben incident and still wonder what he got the second yellow for. It seemed like a nothing situation and if he got it for having a go at the ref after the play was stopped, the ref certainly didn't waste any time to whip out the card.

Well, being prudent was never one of Robben's strongpoints

Absolutely crazy move. I believed the replacement would be a temporary measure, because I think they might press hard in the summer to get Benitez (for whatever reason)

It will definitely be a fun spectacale the next few days. Warm up game against Zenit, and then el Classico on sunday. He has his work cut out for him.

If Ramos can defy the odds and pull off a miracle against the cules, he will probably go down in Madrid lore. The guy was a proven quality in Spain before taking a flying leap in London, so stranger things have happened. All in all, they are taking a big roll of the dice, rather than going with promoting an assistant and hoping the team respond. I guess at this point they have very little to lose
