At the time I was just giving as good as I got (after all he who casts the first stone and all that). All fun banter I thought: a veritable badinage.

However, you may well be right (although I feel the terms sycophancy and abuse a bit strong).

I did think that most of the banter was indeed good fun. Brian got a little upset and hurled enormous amounts of abuse to all and sundry and he got it back as good as he gave (he who casts the first stone...).

I did not ask anyone to be banned nor would I... ever. I think you are referring to an ironic statement I made at one point that was misunderstood and which I immediately regretted (once again I am sorry for the misunderstanding).

A forum that doesn't allow scope for heated differences of opinion would be dull in the extreme and all credit to our mods that they allow most through. And the fact that I enjoy many of the vitroilic spats (some of which I was not involved with) and consider them to be good fun does not make me deluded. Come on, no-one died here! It's a footy forum for goodness sake!!
