This is sad, I was somehow convinced he is staying for another season.

You are forgetting France, who are right up there as well!

Food for thought
Seems an article out of nothing to me... As far as club is concerned it is still debt-free, the only difference is shares do not belong to Abramovich directly (quite naturally) but another company (probably in turn owned but yet another company).

Chelsea vs Wigan (Prem) 09/05/10 1600 KO
which channel is showing the game? website says only Chelsea TV?

Who would you play at the tip of the diamond?
voted for Joe, think Malouda is better of sticking to the left-side (or the bench after the last game ;), while Deco has not impressed me at all this season. I hope Joe is still got it in him somewhere to provide the creativity we are lacking at the tip of that diamond, although I'm not too confident about it.

Looking for Programme
Hey guys, I am trying to locate a Match Day Programme from a Newcastle - Chelsea game in 2005/2006. It was the last game of the season and we already sealed the title and lost this one 1-0. If any of you guys happen to have the programme from that match and are willing to part with it for a sum of money please let me know. Probably Newcastle forums are a better bet at given that its their home game, but thought I'd try here first. Thanks a lot! Moderators, sorry if posts like this not allowed please delete this topic. Cheers!

MOTM vs Spurs
was between Cole, Drogba and Bosingwa - all were great today. I voted for Cole in the end.

Parking
Unfortunately parking is a nightmare around the Bridge, mainly because most street parking spaces require a Resident Permit. I normally park (if google maps serves me right) on Seagrave Road (its off Lillie Road - if you are driving west its first left after the west brompton tube station), the best way to find it - its right opposite Earl's Court 2 building (cant miss it if you are driving on Lillie road). As you turn into Seagrave Road, drive all the way till the end and there is a high school which allows you to park there for the game for £10 flat fee. Its right behind the ground but there is no direct way through so you have to go around (a good 15min walk) - just ask the parking attendants for directions - and also follow the crowd ;) Another problem is - the car park closes 40 minutes after the end of the game, so leaves you little time for any after game activities. Hopefully, other guys may give you better tips...

Correct Score poll vs Burnley
voted for 3-0. a couple of fantastic results for Burnley, but hoping we be the ones to put them back to earth.

just when you think scousers cant get any dumber
In this case I believe your friend is right. If your savings/earnings are in pounds and you pay for rent/food/shopping in Euro's, you cost of living has gone up given the fact that your are getting less goods and services for the same amount of money. If you are of course earning Euro's and spending Euro's, the pounds value is irrelevant to you.

Correct Score poll vs Sunderland
how did The Shed End do over the course of the season? Any stats on how many scores were actually guessed correctly? Would be fun to see.

Conspiracy theory
I think the problem lies with Roman losing loads over the past few months. Companies he has stakes in fell as much as 90% in their value and if he used those stakes to borrow any additional cash he would be in even more trouble. (which media reports he has). So his reported wealth (Russian media being the unreliable source) has fallen from £12-15bn to a "mere" £2-3bn. And the market woes aren't over yet. Hence he is tightening the screws on big spending and Kenyon, Scolari and however else were probably told "it's enough". And given that we are not the only club who would suffer from the credit crunch the Chelsea staff would be happy to oblige so long as they keep their very well paid jobs.
