I will commend him on his half decent 20 mins v Utd ,What about his 90 mins v Southampton and our very good performances v West Ham and West Brom?

Laughable people comparing Lampard with Obi ,one is probably our best ever midfielder scorer of 200 goals who has the skill to play anywhere in midfield and take the game to the opposistion, with unlimited running power and passing ability and one doesn't. My best midfield is a two of Ramires,Lampard and Luiz where we take the game to the opposition not sit back and fill gaps that have been created because we are to deep and stretched. Yesterday was a great example of this .

Was that the same Ramires Mikel combi that starred in the second half at West Ham ,probably our worst effort this season?

You are so right Lane and do you know the reason Lampard was poor? It is because Mikel stays back and drags the whole team deeper , when Ramires came on we started to take the game to them and push them back and the whole team played HIGHER up the pitch. Mikel's attributes of stays back ,stands still and covers,playing sideways passes slowing down our counter attack are lost on me .

I think you are missing the point , some of the people who realise Mikel is useless and believe the abuse? aimed his way (no criticism) is deserved,with basis and well earned. And to try to turn this into a race issue is pathetic , I do not think the poster was being racist (but nice try). Try judging the player by what he offers on the pitch and yesterday he was useless and for me it was a par performance from him. One other thing ,Which Chelsea manager gave Mikel a 5 year contract? There was only one stat that mattered today and that was that he was absolutely useless once again . I do not care who he plays with be it Luiz,Lampard or Ramires they will all have to be on top form to carry him . Has been around for six years now and have yet to see him dominate any game he has played in.

That is staggering he is mature beyond his years and his performances are as good as I have ever seen from a 17 year old kid ,we must sign him he looks top class and will surely reach the very top.

This kid needs to be snapped up as soon as possible on that performance today ,seems to have everything at 19 ,quick ,defends well,good passer and seems to position himself well ie when to defend and when to get forward. Chelsea supporter as well so must be straight .

I would be looking at some of the players out there today rather than blame the waiter totally for that . Mikel and Torres surely have nowhere to go at the club,both have been at the club a long time now and there performances today were unacceptable as they have been for a while.

The bottom line is we have Utd on Monday and our squad should be able to cope with Southampton . Have a look at the players who played today and I would suggest Mikel and Torres are lost causes with nowhere to go at Chelsea. Bertrand is a kid but he needs to show more and Moses is in his first season but he was terrible as well .

Bertrand,Moses,Mikel and Torres passengers for me and you cant carry four .
