It is amazing how many people can be fooled into thinking that getting the ball in deep positions, under no pressure, taking two or three touches and rolling slow passes either backwards or sideways makes a Man of the Match performance,those pass completion stats are staggering if true ,because the nature of Mikel's game should mean his pass completion is higher than Ramires in every match. It just goes to show you that taking your time on the ball can catch the eye ,even over someone who has completed more passes that are quicker and more progressive and pentrating . I have watched the game in full on the TV now and Ramires had a good game and hardly gave the ball away . Mikel probably takes the eye of some because of the time he spends on the ball ,but this slows our play down ,we need more first time passes from him enabling us to counter and get our magic three on the ball earlier and when they are in space.

Ramires,because his drive ,bite,enthusiasm,energy,stamina is always there above Mikel, the passing stats must confirm (If true) this as Mikel's passing is slow and sideways and Rammy's is always progressive and penetrating . What happened yesterday was Ramires was not as good as he can be and Mikel was what he always is ,average( yesterday) /poor often.

Crazy this Mikel luv in ,if his pass completion rate was less than Ramires yesterday that is staggering because Mikel only rolls slow sideways passes where Rammy is always looking to be positive and attack . Michael Eminalo must have a lot of fake accounts on here.

Ivan was my man of the Match,he has looked back to his strong best in the last couple of games ,very strong and dependable ,won his tackles and headers,quick, passed simply . Good to have him back on form at this stage.

If Jose comes back SFL will be going nowhere. Believe me the first player Jose will sign is Frank Lampard for two more seasons. This is FACT.

So what happens if we don't get Mourinho? Then who? It's not out of the realms of possibility that Rafa said what he said to shut the fans up and get the fans behind the team. By now, i'm not shocked by anything this board does.. Until we offer Jose the chance to manage Chelsea again and he in turn has the chance to come back with the management control he deserves, without the likes of Eminalo sticking their noses in,the ghost of Jose will never be laid to rest and any new manager will have to contend with that . We need to offer him the job with the control he deserves and if he turns us down we can move on and forget Jose. If on the other hand he comes back to the Bridge as I suspect he will , he will have the chance to establish Chelsea at the top of the English game with our rivals all needing managerial change in the near future. But everybody needs to see Jose offered the job for confidence in the board to be restored after they have acted without the interest of the fans in mind.

I watched it at Wembley conference centre . Will never forget Kevin Hitchcock dropping a dolly cross for the 2nd goal .

The step up from youth team or even performing well on loan at a Championship side to then making the step up to the Chelsea squad is massive. Agree with this . But I have liked the look of Patrick Bamford the centre forward from Nottingham ,he seems to have the lot ie two footed ,1st Touch ,goalscorer ,strength relative to age (19?) and will keep an eye on his progress. I like the way he has gone straight out to play proper (for points football) rather than mess around in youth team football.

35 is just a number ,this 35 year old has never had a major injury and shows no sign of a lack of hunger for success. Some players are finished in their twenties ,Lampard should be phased into a player coach role at the club and we should be offering him a contract with this in mind.

The clues are there , only one piece is missing from the jigsaw and Roman Abramovich has that. Does he want a manager or a puppet? If it is the puppet we could be back to square one ,around about Christmas time next year .

My understanding is that the only way SFL should be allowed to leave the club is if he chooses to go to America and it should be his choice,as others have said, he is still a top class player and you cant buy that kind of dedication to a football club,our squad has not matched up to the Manc teams and having Lampard at the club is vital to putting that right in the future. If he is allowed to leave and join another European Club it will be another bad day for those who run the club.

No problem with that stamford blue but why do you not comment on how brilliant Demba - Ba was, this is what is winding everybody up and making it look like Mikel is our scapegoat based on some kind of perceived prejudice? Mikel did OK yesterday and on that performance you cannot dig him out ,as for the future and the past I still am not convinced.

Cant have the scapegoat theory on this one ,people are judging him over a 5 year period and have come to a conclusion over that period of mediocrity at best and poor at worst in my opinion . The Chelsea crowd give all players a fair crack of the whip and usually if a player is getting some stick their is a reason for it. What I cant have in a player is one who does not show fight and seems to stroll around showing a lack of urgency (and I know some players with great abilty can get away with this) but in my opinion over 5 plus years Mikel is not for me and the decision by someone at the club to give him a 5 year contract on big money is very wrong. As for Stamford Blue I as well find it strange as to why he only seems to comment on the negative side of Chelsea and nothing else.

Do not kid yourself son ,almost everybody in the ground was booing Beasant ,were you? I have been in the ground with 15,000 and less and they were giving some awful stick to players and managers some of it deserved some of it not ,but some of our oldest and loyalist fans have dug out some poor performers,believe me, Geoff Hurst's team took some real stick even people like Fillery and Colin Lee which I thought was undeserved.

mclovin at his patronising best Thought Demba Ba was superb head and shoulders the best player on the pitch and that would have been my opinion without the goal which was brilliant centre forward play ,his hold up play was Drogba like and there is no bigger compliment ,honourable mentions to Cech (What a save) and Ivan who I thought was back to his best and of course Hazard who continues to delight.

No substitute for class, appreciate him while we have got him. Hopefully for more years to come as player and coach as long as the club wake up .

I take that back mikel got the hook in the second half at Southampton ,when Ramires came on and we actually competed in midfield and put pressure on Southampton.
