A game on Saturday against Southampton at 3pm should shake off any rustiness of the break before this big game.

Terry has to start in my opinion and it will be a tough formation to pick.

I suspect Utd will make a few changes from the first encounter and I hope that Benitez is properly prepared for this.

Massive game and we must not lose.

Hey Roman, it might be a good idea to announce to the team on the morning of the Man U match that you have appointed Jose Mourinho as their next manager. That would be the best motivation ever!

B.O.!

The starting line up on Saturday will probably be a big indicator of Monday's line up.

Random punt at the line up for me:

------------Cech

Ivan - Terry - Luiz - Cole

------Mikel - Ramires

Oscar - Mata - Hazard

----------Torres

Squad management is going to be so important in the coming weeks, we are fortunate that Mata isn't 1st choice for Spain because he's managed to have a bit of a rest these past 2 weeks now.

I'm kind of expecting Ba and Torres to start alternate games from now to the end of the season.

The one thing FSW certainly liked at Liverpool was squad rotation, so I am sure he will know to do plenty of it here, getting it right in every game is the very tricky part.

Will be such a waste if we don't come through, WE NEED THE CUP! All those going to the bridge please sing your hearts out!!! :D

Well you only have to look at QPR at home and S.Bucuresti away to look at examples of when he has got it wrong.

I'm not going to lay into Rafa for the sake of it because before the international break there were signs we could just yet scavenge something from this season but he just makes me nervous.

I think we re in a sort of catch 22 situation sat and mon...We have to have our strongest team out IF WE ARE SERIOUSLY looking at 3 points.....That worries me in many ways for monday......Injuries etc....We will also seriously need full team on monday to overcome the reds as they can afford a weaker side offering at sunderland  (imo)

Is it bad that I care more about winning this to stop United winning it, than winning it ourselves?

Either way, I hope we rest a few players on Saturday and field a full strength XI.

3-1 to us.

I have a feeling that this game will go to penalties

I can guarantee your lot will score in the first ten mins...We seem to play better this way.....Please no penalties...My heart is becoming lame

Tbh this season i really don't understand what is wrong with you lot and letting us score quickly. I must admit though you lot have been one of the few teams that have completely destroyed us this year and quite unfortunate that you didn't win the first game. The second game (fa cup)  could have gone either i felt as first half we could hvae scored four and second half you could have scored 5. I think this game will be kind ofdifficult for you lot since you cannot rest that many players tomorrow whie we can

Rafael just came off injured after only 30 minutes, Vidic struggling with back pain too.

Hazard gonna have a field day with whoever fills in at RB.

I've been unable to attend games since the Rangers friendly in 2011..

However, I've moved to London temporarily, so I'm going to be there on Monday, and Rubin Thursday/Sunderland Sunday.

Not expecting us to win this one, but hope to see a good performance at least, and a stroke of luck/genius could make the difference.

Anyone else going?

COME ON CHELS!!

Well, after the debacle today against Southampton, it's obvious the interim is prioritising a cup over top 4.

Ashley and Luiz will be back, as may Cahill but I'd stick with Terry.

Rambo will be back in place of Mikel or Lampard, I suspect Lampard.

Mata and Hazard will be back and Ba will play, obviously.

This is the team I predict and I've never been wrong right before ..

Cech, Ivan, Ashley, Luiz, Cahill, Mikel, Oscar, Rambo, Ba, Mata, Hazard

I think he'll start Azpi instead of Brana, apart from that I believe you got it right.

FSW will use his best available lineup to get one over Fergie, even if it means we're screwed in the league.

That, but The Interim One also wants to add another trophy to his resume, so he can say: "Look, I won a trophy! I did well, the Chelsea fans are wrong."

I'm going to be so conflicted on Monday. Do I want us to win it more than I want the FSW to lose?

This morning the answer would have been yes, but still raw after today's shambles, I really don't know.

If we get past UTD and people start again with the Benitez praise I think I'll blow a gasket.

The Players will be up for it as its UTD which wil be a help but if they rely on the Interims tactics we are toast...did we look tactically astute today with our best passes being long hoofed Balls from Cech aimed at Torres? we looked like Wimbledon out there and were lucky not to be 3-0 down in the first half.

I fear for the CL place which is now a ten game race between us Tottenham and Arsenal and looking at the run in I'd say Arsenal can mount a serious challenge that would put us in a battle for fourth with Spurs that we could if Benitez keeps looking out for himself easily lose.

Cant wait......MMMmmm.....Not sure though.....Bit nervous they may embarrass us out of the cup........NNNOOOO surely not...Chelsea players will be well up for this one......Wont they............Cant be sure of that either.....MMMmmmm........QUE SERRA

Even if we beat United, I can't see us beating City at Wembley. We're going to need two top performances and that isn't even considering the Final.
