  1. hey beerqueen...(great name!!) we shouldnt get away fans in the shed end by the West Stand...they are quite rightly stuck in the corner of the shed by the east stand...I have also seen them over in the Matt Harding and West stands......the stewards know what goes on and if they these supporters cheer they get asked to move or get kicked out...happens a lot with European games...hope that clears that up...
  2. wow what a popular thread...ok my thoughts for what they are worth, I have a friend in the middle tier east stand, you know the prawn sandwich brigade...anyhow if they start to sing a steward tells them to be quiet as it is not allowed... maybe change the policy?? after all these are the people directly behind Jose... Give all the people who come to the 'UK' and buy a package for the London eye, London Dungeon and a chance to see the best club in London (and the UK) a song sheet with the songs, bit like you get in church..Most have trouble speaking English let alone know any of the words... Baloons, only if they have helium and we all sing a song at the same time after having a sniff... More season tickets which will = less touts, I see loads of away supporters in the shed end and they don't say a word for obvious reasons... and finally a big banner to Phil Dowd with his picture, saying 'wanted for impersonating a referee'...w**ker
  3. I have an away season ticket and sometimes find I cannot go because of work ie the first match at Burnley... I did use cfctickets but they were shut down by CFC at the end of last season and it doesn't look like anything will be set up by the new season.... Obviously I do know there are the 'illegal' touts (CFC and the Police do nothing about this) and the legal Viagogo (extortion) site.. So does anyone know anywhere else I can buy/sell/swap tickets at face value? thanks
  4. Jose has to make do with the players bought and sold via the board, saying that he does have an impact in who he plays and more important HOW they play, (position, tactics etc).... Far too often the ball is simply passed from one side of the pitch to the other till it is lost, I have seen it get as far as the opposite goal only to come all the way back, I don't know if the plan is to make them chase the ball and get exhausted but frankly this type of play is boring, this may also be the reason why certain sections of the crowd can be so quiet. Even when were behind they seem lack urgency or the hunger to destroy the opponents, get 3 goals in the first half and watch the opponents heads go down and then you can get 8 like we did against Villa last season ... At the Emirates for the Capital One cup we showed what was possible (and that was with a B team), the squad is big enough, the quality of the players is fantastic so what’s going wrong? I for one would rather see a match of attack rather than just possession, it doesn’t matter if more goals are conceded as an exciting 3-3 match (i.e. Everton-Liverpool) is better than scraping a draw after a dodgy penalty.. End to end football is exciting; the crowd feel they get their moneys worth and it is better to watch than what sometimes looks like a lethargic kick around in the park. As the saying goes 'the best form of defence is attack' His latest excuse that they were tired is a joke, hasn't he heard of rotation?? or is that a word used to keep brilliant players out of the team. Oh well, at least he didn't blame the supporters for not cheering enough this time!!!
  5. have just heard there may be industrial action on the 26th which means no trains at all.. also there are no trains heading up from the coast as the line is shut for a week, so all the fans who live in areas like Brighton, Haywards Heath, Crawley etc have no way up except by car...but then where can you park... what a mess....
  6. Last movie I saw was the new Hunger Games Catching fire, managed to get a ticket via my Mrs for the premiere in Leicester square...if you liked the first one then see this it's just as good..out on 21st Nov..
  7. Cech is now and has always been a great keeper, forget age as many keepers go on to their late 30's or even 40's .....he makes some bad mistakes like most keepers, except these seem to be getting more and more regular, has anyone else noticed he struggles to get balls going low to his right?? check your recordings and see how many are conceded in that corner of the goal...... As for Courtois, I have seen him in action a couple of times and he was awesome, this may have been luck on the day and a seeing him a couple of times is hardly an indication of his true form.. My opinion is they should share the position and rotate like all the other players until the best one can be decided on... But back to the question, well I like a gamble so if I had to choose...Courtois..
